Spritenaut 32 Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Vince's fucking outfit. Holy guacamole. Now I remember why the Zubaz leisure suit never caught on.
Hoffman Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 I think it was in one of Heenan's books that he once asked Linda about Vince's sartorial splendor, and her only reply was, "Vince likes colors."
Spritenaut 32 Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 So.. today. I happened to look Zubaz up on Wikipedia. Wiki says that zubaz pants were thought up by Johnny Ace and Road Warrior Animal and they "gave" the idea to the two Minnesota body builders who started the company. Okayyyy..... It's Wikipedia so I'm kinda suspicious. Anyone know how much truth there is to that story? I've never heard that before and, well, it's Wiki. It's worth noting that the same paragraph says that Ace was one half of the Road Warriors.

Johnny Sorrow Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 That's that brass ring being grabbed at, right there. 1
The Nature Boy Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 No one is mentioning Vince's tan, smoldering look? He looks like he's auditioning for the lead in some 80s soap opera.

I just thought they were so awful that no one but a wrestler would wear them.

insidecradle Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 Not a football fan at all and I'd imagine the fella with Marino is a well known player, but my first thought was Ray Finkle. However this being a wrestling photo thread and while on the subject of zubaz..... I always like every few years those guys on the indies who wear them to be "that guy" but claim it's because of how comfortable they are. Granted with all that leg room and the easy on/off waist band action I agree but I just don't see anyone pulling them off nearly as good bad as Hawk and Animal.... I see what I did there....

rzombie1988 Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 I would like to try on a pair of Zubaz. They are kind of like a mythical piece of clothing to me since I've never seen them in person. I don't think I'm man enough to wear them outside though unless its Halloween.
Victator Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 I had a pair when I was 11 and they were heavenly. Never could find another pair.
Godfrey Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 I knew a very flamboyant club kid who had a pair back in the day. He had no idea they were wrestling related and was really bored when I told him about it.
Tromatagon Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 I had a pair when I was 11 and they were heavenly. Never could find another pair. Zubaz.com Amazon.com
mad cow Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 A local worker does the fanny pack & Zubaz gimmick. He worked out some kind of distribution deal and sells them online and at shows. 1

The Z Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 Don't you have to earn the right to wear a Ribeara Steakhouse jacket?
mad cow Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 Don't you have to earn the right to wear a Ribeara Steakhouse jacket? He did work for Tajiri in his SMASH and WNC promotions a few years back.
Ace Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 I freely admit to owning a pair of Zubaz back in the long ago.
