Wrestlemania XXXI

Seriously, if anything, adversity is what Roman needs right now. Most don't want Superman right now. If he can't handle losing to the strongest booked guy they've had since... Hogan in the '80s, he was never going to succeed.

I'm not scared of a Rusev depush at this point either because he's too fucking good to be denied. Roman's probably more like Big E in that he needs to be handled gently because he's not particularly good at anything other than being beautiful and having beautiful hair and a few good moves.

Reigns should've lost to Orton at Summer Slam. If he had to actually show improvements in his game in order to overcome Orton the fans would've felt like they were taking the journey with him instead of him being the greatest thing since sliced bread right out of the gate.

I honestly think the best shot at salvaging Roman (or getting him to the level they want more accurately) is an Austin/Bret style match where Roman comes up short, but looks like a tough bastard doing so. The "stand up in the kimura with bloody face, then pass out" spot is absolute money. Rollins cash-in on Lesnar afterwards is optional.

But the Reddit guy reporting this a week before the show kinda feels like WWE feeding bad info to the net to drum up some interest in this otherwise uninspiring match. Maybe I'm just too jaded in this post-kayfabe reality era.

I've felt Reigns losing in a strong match with Lesnar was the best possible result for a while now. I woudl do way more for him to go down looking as badass as possible than winning against Lesnar considering where both are at right now.

There are certain traits necessary to stop a monster like Brock Lesnar.

A tendency to not give up in the face of extreme adversary, a complete respect for the business, a shocking ability to come out on top despite the odds being massively against him, staying loyal to the business, and always, always going all out with a degree of hustle most men just can't manage.

Where could we find such a man though?

Who eventually beats Lesnar if this plays out?

Nobody.  He holds on to the belt forever and ever. . .

For real, why wouldn't Lesnar hold on to the strap for 4-5 years if things go this way?  No one would be in position to beat him one-on-one.  Even Cena would need a couple of years to get back to that point.  Unless several guys band together and run him out of WWE in some way, Brock would be champ would a long time.

So far, I'm only liking Cristobal's suggestion. Going by history, we can expect Kane to face him at whatever they call the Backlash spot PPV these days.

If this happens, maybe one day we can get some more interesting matchups than just Cena. Cesaro, Ambrose, Bryan, Rusev, and even Sheamus could have flippin' awesome matches with Brock.

Thank you, DVDVR Christian Laettner for this great reply! *chest stomps Oyaji*

But seriously--has anyone ever done a chest stomp as a finisher?  Because I would like that.

Was the Garvin Stomp delivered to the chest?
