Triple H has been in arguably the best matches at Mania for the last few years; Bryan, Lesnar, both Taker matches. The Bryan match was probably his finest hour as a performer and it's right up there with the Taker match in Atlanta for my favorite WWE matches of all time, probably both in my top 5.

You turn Bryan heel by having him join the Authority and admit he's just a B+ player, going on to become the longest reigning IC champ of all time with the help of JJ Security.

In all seriousness, the logical solution is to just add Bryan to the main and make it a 3-way. He doesn't even have to win, but at least if he's in the match you don't run the risk of having the crowd shit on everything and chant random stuff throughout the main event.

But you run the risk of the crowd shitting all over the finish because their guy didn't win

Obviously the best thing to do is run with Bryan somehow. Or Stick him with Taker or something equal because then he can hold up that match. But barring that here are the best two "evil genius" ways to successfully get Bryan "out of the way."

1.) Team him with Ziggler and have them hold the tag titles for the better part of a year. This gets him (and Ziggler) out of the main event scene if the WWE doesn't want him there, makes it seem like he's doing something important/pushworthy, will lead to great matches, but also ones where his health can be protected in the short/medium term, and will probably draw/generate interest to the extent than they could use the tag titles on top on B house shows for the first time in forever.

2.) Give him some sort of TV belt and have him defend it, successfully, every Monday night for 2-3 segments. Raw is LONG. They're dying out there every week. This would eat away some segments each week, let them advertise a match in the same time slot every week where the fans know what they'll be getting and lets Bryan seem like he's dominant to appease the fanbase. Either it helps with everything they're doing or it bombs in the ratings and there's the data Vince would want to depush him.

I could be down for a Ziggler/Bryan tag reign. Where they're not feuding and they don't hate each other, but Bryan is always shaking his head at Ziggler when he wiggles his ass. They could make it work.

Actually you steal from Mick Foley joining the Corporation against Austin, Bryan cuts the beard, doesn't do the YES!, wears a suit, admits the Authority does what's best for business, the Authority admits him being champion is best for business and then with the Authority's help he dethrones Roman Reigns for the title at SummerSlam.

If they try to turn Bryan heel, it'll be like when Eddy went heel on Tajiri. The fans will turn with him, and they'll have to turn him back face in a matter of weeks.

If they really want to take Bryan out of the title picture, just put him in a best of seven series with someone like Ziggles or Cesaro or Rollins. It'll take a while. If they have him pursue the IC title on the basis that having it confers an automatic top contendership to the world title (which it sometimes has, right?), and so you have Barrett being all pissed off and surly that he's being treated as a stepping stone by the guy he fired (from the Nexus), that would be good.

Well, Metzler is saying that It's going to be

Bryan/Ziggler

at Mania, so maybe a heel turn makes sense?   I mean, it doesn't, but still.

If I'm WWE, I'll gladly take that over the entire event being sabotaged and my main event title match being a rehash of Brock-Goldberg from WM20.

That match should be good, but I have a feeling the setup and build will be intolerable. I don't see a heel turn, just both guys saying some variation of, "Well, the Authority doesn't want us on top, but they can't stop us from going out there and stealing the show in front of the WWE Universe!"

I'd actually really like to see a couple of the "lost in the shuffle" upper card guys team up and get a tag title run. The Usos have run their course, the Dust Brothers are splitting up, and New Day are dead in the water. Having Ziggler/Ryback or a similar combo working The Ascension, Cesaro/Kidd, Lucha Dragons, and a makeshift team (Axel Rose?) through the summer is probably the best way to keep the belts somewhat relevant, if not get them back to where they were with Rollins/Reigns.

They could feud over who had the lamest elimination from the Rumble.  Who had the worse-timed injury.  Who had the most historically ignominious title reign. Who is a bigger symbol of the company's recent failures.  Tons of stuff.

It would be pretty funny, though, if every one of their interactions leads to huge dueling babyface chants for both of them and they just stand their and soak it in.  And then Roman or whoever has to follow that.

I'm mad at all of you for fantasy booking Rusev/Bryan and getting me super excited. I had convinced myself that the heavy Euro crowd was going to start chanting "да! да! да!" and it was going to be glorious.

Now I'm thinking about the next two months of promos from Dolph Ziggler talking about how he is a better fake wrestler than Daniel Bryan and they are going to put on a five star classic and bust through the glass ceiling and I already don't care.

It wouldn't be the worst way to restore the natural order of Ziggler going heel.

He can Indy-cozy all up with Bryan and they can trade tapes and then he can turn and start shitting on workrate and tape over all Bryan's old Manami Toyota matches with Too Cool matches.

Wouldn't the quickest way to a tape trading feud involve Ziggler stiffing Bryan on money for tapes?

"Zigs, you still owe me money for those tapes you got from me"

"dude, the recording quality was mediocre"

That's better than anything WWE can come up with.

Bryan is lost without his precious tape collection. He quickly starts forgetting his moveset. Soon he can't do much more than kick and punch.

All the while, Ziggler taunts Bryan by hitting lame attitude era finishers like the Worm.
