Rev Ray Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 How about Sliding Vader? The slide was working too light, so Vader decided to slide down the part with the ladder on it. 1
Pete Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 If the wrestling thing hadn't worked out, Lawler would've been a superstar for his artwork. Dude could and still can draw his ass off. 1
rovert Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 NWA-Ireland and Irish Whip Wrestling finally breaking bread: 2

Spritenaut 32 Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 I wonder why WWE hasn't asked him to spend three hours drawing on Monday's night. It might be the best thing he can do for t he product these days.

I wonder why WWE hasn't capitalized on this more over the years. I love the someone had posted pictures when heel Jerry Lawler was "buying" space in the Memphis wrestling programs from the Arena so he could run cartoons of him making fun of the babyfaces: *EDIT* like from his website: 1
rovert Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 Will find out tomorrow for sure but it seems like Zahra "the girl with the tatoos" finally reported to Full Sail As of few months ago she was going to be Baron Corbin's valet.
Playa Shunna Ver 3.0 Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 If they don't name her the Baroness then I will shit my pants.
w. josh Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 If the wrestling thing hadn't worked out, Lawler would've been a superstar for his artwork. Dude could and still can draw his ass off. Are there really a lot of "superstar" caricature artists in the world? It seems more likely he'd have had a long career drawing the visitors at the nearest Six Flags. Not knocking the style - I have a friend who does zombie-style caricatures that are amazing - but superstar might be pushing it. 1
HumanChessgame Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Lawler bringing back that telestrater he used to use after matches on Superstars would be about the only thing that would make him tolerable nowadays.

He could have got a little work drawing movie parodies for Mad Magazine, or one of the knockoffs like Cracked. And I would bet he's able to adjust his style enough to draw other things besides caricatures. He reads enough comic books that he's probably learned a little bit about graphic storytelling just through osmosis.
cool arrow Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 He did a variant cover for Dynamite a few years ago.

I wonder how strong his storytelling skills are? At the least, he could've been a solid inker for Marvel in the 70's. Based on that Conan illustration, he seems to to be heavily influenced by John Buscema.
