Bustronaut Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 Who wrote it? If it's Bendis or Miller, I'll pass. Bendis for talent and Miller for what he's become.
Big Fresh Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 "Bendis for talent?" The guys who wrote Ultimate Spider-Man since the beginning? And had an incredible Daredevil run too? That's nuts.
Cliff Hanger Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 Bagging on Frank Miller 1993 becau8se of Frank Miller 2014 seems highly counterproductive. 3
Matt D Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 I think comics would be so much better if we never had Frank Miller. He inspired so much doom and gloom and "realism," and the original work isn't good enough to be worth all the stuff he inspired. 1
Brian Fowler Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 The DD run and Year One disagree with you. 1
Big Fresh Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 Robert Downey Jr. in Captain America 3! variety.com/2014/film/news/robert-downey-jr-to-join-captain-america-3-exclusive-1201312229/
Ligerbusa Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 How the hell is he supposed to see with that mask over his eyes? 3
Casey Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 I fuckin' told you guys they were doing Civil War.
Cliff Hanger Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 You know, if we get Michael Douglas screaming "WE CLONED A GOD, TONY! A GOD!" I might be okay with Civil War. 2
Niners Fan in CT Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 Ugh, Civil War, really? God fucking dammit. Really though, this could be good.. 3
Brian Fowler Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 I have a lot of faith in marvel studios, but civil war tests that a lot. It will need whole sale changes to avoid being awful. 1
Johnny Sorrow Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 I have a lot of faith in marvel studios, but civil war tests that a lot. It will need whole sale changes to avoid being awful. I'd imagine that it'll be similar in name and basic concept only. 2
Brian Fowler Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 Doing it does make sense, of course. It was massively successful, and, although it's old hat to comic readers (and was decades before Civil War was published) superheroes fighting each other is still relatively new to movies (there's the one scene in Avengers, and, of course, Batman Vs. Superman: Dawn of the Incredibly Stupid Subtitle will be out a couple months before Cap 3) and could prove to be a big selling point. BTW, this may very well change the equation between Cap 3 and BvS. Downey as Stark is a whole different level of draw.
Casey Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 I bet Evans could care less since he's supposedly retiring after Captain America 3
Brian Fowler Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 He has one more film after it on his Marvel contract (presumably Avengers 3, although recent rumors are they might try to spread out those expiring deals and not put everyone in the third Avengers, so they can bring them back for a different movie instead.) 1
TheVileOne Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 I bet Evans could care less since he's supposedly retiring after Captain America 3 He has six movies. Captain America 3 is five.
Big Fresh Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 I wonder where Cap and Falcon's search for Bucky takes place then.
Raziel Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 So, yeah. Its starting to reported all over that Downey is in Cap 3, co-starring, and it looks like Cap 3 on is heading toward Civil War. But one of the possible storylines (Stark realizing that this no accountability shit is wrong) might get me on his side.
J.T. Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 X-Men Days of Future Past had some trappings of the House of M plotline, but I was kinda hoping there would be no overt Civil War storyline infusions.
