(also um... the reasons that got a certain person fired recently) It's crazy how wrestling has changed. If someone told you twenty five years ago "forget about poorly done artsy, airbrushed implied nude and nude pictures...your favorite women in combat sports/ pro wrestling are basically a bad month away from being full fledged DIY porn stars", your mind would not be able to process it. You would not be able to process those same women getting pushed away in a more progressive society. Even though I think Kayla Harrison is more equipped in terms of pro wrestling (hell, I would argue the aforementioned Amanda Ribas is too) than PVZ charisma-wise, you would think PVZ would be a no brainer in pro wrestling. Yet, I don't think TK is too hot on the idea of Paige basically being camgirl and do hardcore B/G with her husband and doing pro wrestling at the same time. If Tony won't deal with it, it seems like a non starter for WWE. Time will tell though.

Cobra Commander
I can see why the WWE would prefer to not mention the Shane thing but door's wide open for a "Shane McMahon is sending UFC randos after The Miz to get revenge" gimmick. For Great Justice
The biggest curiosity I have is Vince’s role, and whether it will have any real decision-making authority. In my day job I see a ton of M&A deals. It’s extremely common for the acquired CEO to be given some fancy title within the new company, but that’s almost always an honorarium with no real power. Common titles are Executive Chairman, Vice Chairman, etc. That said, this is Vince, so I can’t see him agreeing to anything without any real power. If I were to *guess*, it is indeed a bullshit honorarium and a board seat (not chairman, though). But we’ll see. Dana's statement certainly made it sound that way, but was also devoid of enough specificity that jt would make sense either way - I couldn't tell if he was just hedging his bet or what I'm concerned for folks at WWE working in the office/production - UFC already has its own 'live event machine' so I'm hoping those guys/gals still have a job after this. FWIW, one friend of mine was already joking about 'I wonder if we'll get tickets next time UFC runs here' but hasn't gotten official word yet. jaedmc
Paul Heyman made an interesting statement during an interview with Ariel Helwani this past week that sounded like typical Paul E hype man shit, but in hindsight sounds like he knew what was coming and why. He made this point: Take any UFC fighter besides Connor McGregor and walk them down the street and no one knows who they are. Take any WWE superstar and walk them down the street of any city in the world and they're mobbed like the Beatles. The difference is distribution, and we do it better than anybody. So I'm thinking this is a huge selling point and why it makes sense for these companies to merge together. If Vince and company can use their infrastructure to raise UFC's visibility then this is a big win for Endeavor.

Edit: two of them have told me there's a company-wide meeting at 4 It's my belief that WWE employs a lot more production staff than UFC just cause WWE has for the longest now had the most bells and whistles possible. When UFC was on Spike and before that Fox Sports, it was largely the UFC handling the production. Then once UFC moved to Fox and its umbrella, they ceded a bit more of the production work. Then once UFC was sold to Endeavor, IIRC some of the key production people were some of the first to go just cause combat sports going back to HBO producing fights in the 80s has always given that level of control to the networks. When has WWE done that since the NBC/Dick Ebersol days? 22 minutes ago, jaedmc said: Paul Heyman made an interesting statement during an interview with Ariel Helwani this past week that sounded like typical Paul E hype man shit, but in hindsight sounds like he knew what was coming and why. If Vince and company can use their infrastructure to get raise UFC's visibility then this is a big win for Endeavor. UFC doesn't really have visibility problem though. Keep in mind, they're coming off 20+ full arena sale outs. Jon Jones vs. Ciryl Gane did like 12 or 13 million dollars at the gate. I would say that stretch between Lesnar being done due to health issues and GSP's career being up in the air and before Ronda and Conor taking off, there was a visibility issue. Add in the fact that UFC was used to get FS1 and FS2 in place where they were respected and not the other way around. Now? The UFC doesn't need a bonified megastar to succeed. They have one in Conor, but they also have a more diverse mix of stars whether it's an already established guy like Jon Jones or guys who have more international flare like Leon Edwards, Islam Machachev, Kamaru Usman (he's American but he reps hard for Nigeria), and the multiple Mexican born champions they have now. Amanda Nunes is still rocking and rolling and her fights actually get plenty of attention. Hell, I would imagine the WWE would love to have someone like Weili Zhang who does have a good following amount actual Chinese fans. IMO, UFC is on the exact same level of a WWE in that they have plenty of stars but they don't really have someone who generates the crazy amount of buzz where it honestly rivals the WWE brand itself. If Conor McGregor and Colby Covington fought tomorrow, that's one million plus buys (even with the crazy ass PPV retail price) with zero advertising and a ton of PPV revenue on the level of some of Floyd's biggest fights. Hell, Conor McGregor and Justin Gaethje. You cannot say that about any two names in WWE. 1

Dude, they sold out 20+ full basketball arenas IN A ROW. Conor wasn't on all those cards. Half of those cards were headlined by random people. So apparently, Paul was walking down the wrong streets.
