Oh and since I am rage posting

The Giants also have gone 11 straight games without an interception - which is an NFL record

AND Dexter Lawrence's injury is a fractured elbow

And I haven't even processed that no rookie QB is gonna survive behind the continued shit that is that OL unless the NFL awards them 98 extra picks

Fuck

I forgot that Tom Brady was commentating this game until I checked it around a minute left in the 2nd quarter

I think it says a lot that most of the conversation about Brady today is whether he spit out the turkenducken after the camera was off of him.  😁

There are folks pointed out that the Raiders were very much in on trying to sign Daniel Jones and that was a byproduct of him not signing with Vegas

I think it is clearly people reading too much into things but it also is a situation created by allowing a partial owner to also be a commentator

Lions are signing Kwon Alexander

He had been on the Broncos practice squad so that means he is going right to Detroit's active roster

As expected

I'm shocked they actually did it. As inept and as cheap as the Bears organization is, I thought it would be a death march to the last game of the season.

They made him do the morning press conference first.    that is some bullshit 😁

He deserved after that clock bullshit. I wonder if there was a locker room revolt.

That seems pretty great. That's some stellar quarterback play. 11 games? Man, I thought the record was longer than that. Oh wait...

See the quote from Keenan Allen.

Also, it came out this morning that the coaching staff took 20 seconds to get the play into Williams, which is why things looked so messed up. He ended up audibling to the deep throw since they wasted so much time.

Not exactly true about the first mid-season coaching change. It happened once before, in 1942..because owner/Head Coach George Halas left the team to serve in the US Navy

I thought this was clearly the case, because you can see Caleb gesturing to the line and waving over his helmet, which has become the universal sign language for "Hurry up and get me a goddamn play." And on the replay you can see that he basically looked at his receivers and was like "we're fucked, get open, I guess."

Coaching staff hung the team out to dry. I mean who makes the call there, Eberflus or then-OC-now-Interim-Head-Coach Thomas Brown?

It's a 2 minute drill, how do you not have a short list of options that you're ready to go to? Games on the line, be ready.

But shouldn't be surprised. This is the same team that wouldn't script the first 15 plays on offense for the first five weeks, despite having a Rookie QB.

I don't want to root for anyone to lose their job, but it was clear this wasn't working out last year.

I don't know if Thomas Brown is the answer, but when he moved to OC, there was a marked difference in our performance. What a crazy three weeks for that guy regardless.

I know I am the Coach Defender on this board as I think generally speaking fans are too quick to blame the coach every time something goes wrong. BUT. There are certainly times its not working and Eberflus clearly wasn't working. Yesterday was just the final straw but there were just too many examples of bad plays, bad calls, players saying crazy things, slow player development, it was too much.

Some coaches are just better at being coordinators than head coaches, its not the same skillset, and maybe Eberflus is just one of those.

If a Black Friday game is on Amazon and nobody’s Mark enough to pay to stream it, does it still air?

I don’t think the Bears purposely had the press conference then fired him. He Zach Wilson’d that press conference. I think when he did that they decided to fire him.

I'm envisioning it to be like that scene from Major League when Vaughn gives up a grand slam and the pitching coach is going to go out to the mound and take him out and Lou Brown stops him and says, "I want to see how he reacts."

Vaughn then hits the next batter between the shoulder blades and a fight is about to start and Brown says, "I think you can go get him now."

I'm not sure if Eberflus knew he was getting fired when they made him do the press conference or not. Either way, it was some nasty business having him go out there and do it.

After that last completion from O'Connell that got LV into FG range, I send a text to my dad: "This could have been the Bears yesterday, if Eberflus wasn't a moron." Then, the center decides to snap the ball for no good reason.........

gotta love how the Raiders burnt through their timeouts and the Chiefs just decided to do a home run swing 3rd/2 pass and give it back before the 2 minute warning, and then the Raiders lose because their center snapped the ball too early

You know, this Chiefs team is going to be upset in the first game of their playoff run and no one is going to remember that they should have had 5 losses at this point

might require neither of the Chargers or Broncos winning a first round playoff game to advance to playing KC

I said that the 2024 Chiefs are the 2020 Steelers when they lost to Bills.  They still might be a one and done but in reality the 2020 Steelers would have lost probably half of these games like Panthers and Raiders

The Chiefs have, since Mahomes started playing, been the recipients of countless teams just throwing games away. They are a great team but teams do the dumbest, most unlikely stuff to lose against them. Plus all the help they get from the refs.
