Cobra Commander Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 would it be in bad taste for Moxley to do a Al-Shaair slide into an opponent's head in a future match?
RIPPA Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 The Titans had 11 penalties... in the first half

Ball is completed but for less yardage than it should be. Rodgers gestures at wide receivers, yells at sideline. Play 2, Rodgers overthrows open receiver by 5 yards, takes no accountability (visually anyway).

Lawrence did neither but they happen all the time. If you don't want QBs getting lit up, you have to help out the defense a little bit. We've seen it a million times with Mahomes where defenses are terrified to touch him as he dances down the sideline. 1
RIPPA Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 The Pats just tried a 68 yard FG to win the game It was dead center but a yard short 1

Lawful Metal Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 Texans still find disappointing ways to win. Even the wins are no fun anymore. At least it’s the bye week finally. Can’t be disappointing when it’s the bye week
RIPPA Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 And to cap off a shit week for the Giants - they drop to the 3rd pick in the draft due to the changes in SOS
BloodyChamp Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 Here’s why I dislike Aaron Rodgers. This wasn’t his first 2 possession game he was winning vs the Seahawks who came out of the tunnel asleep. The first one everybody blamed the special teams after he fooled around and lost. Today the special teams blocked a PAT and forced 2 fumbled on returns.

BloodyChamp Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 (edited) I like how the announcers just so naturally announce the fight every time. They go from calling a game to calling a fight like it’s nothing. They used to do that in all of the major sports. At one time in the life a fight was nothing. Now they’re…well you know. EDIT: ok I just saw the Lawrence hit. This happens a few times a year. It actually happened in the Seminoles and Gators game yesterday which an additional reason they fought after the game. I don’t know…I just don’t know. It’s football. You don’t know if somebody is going to slide and it’s easy to say the person you’re watching is going to after he’s already done it. You also don’t want a head injury. So I don’t know. Edited December 2, 2024 by BloodyChamp 1

Lawful Metal Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 Having rewatched the Trevor Lawrence hit ad nauseum, I think I’m ok with suspending Azeez next week and not letting him come back until the Miami game
BloodyChamp Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 That last Josh Allen play will get ran into the ground on memes and stuff. It was still a great play, but it was ruined by Cris Collinsworth like every great play is when he’s around. He Kamala Harris laugh talks over the play every time. It’s not accurate to name that after her because he’s the original for that nonsense. 2
Kevin Wilson Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 I almost feel bad for the 49ers, the injury bug has killed them this year and even when they are more healthy they can't get anything together due to not having a full practice week ever with their entire team. That being said, this game is fun. 1
BloodyChamp Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 I so feel bad for the 49ers. They have busted their asses for so long. I’m going to feel bad for the Bills if they don’t quit fuckin Sean Payton and Drew Brees style though. There’s a whole QTR left and this is over like a 49ers Packers playoff game. Somebody is going to get hurt, probably Allen.
Kevin Wilson Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 So now Josh Allen has a passing, rushing, and receiving TD in this game. Course the receiving TD has a hell of an asterisk and I didn't even know that's how they scored laterals but its a fun stat anyway. He also got credited with two touchdowns on the one play in fantasy football so it was a good week to have Josh Allen. 1
Kevin Wilson Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 San Fran should have followed Buffalo's lead and taken out their primary starters, the game is over, why risk it in this weather.

He's been beloved for so long and I get this season has been a struggle for him. But it's concerning how much some fans have turned on him and want him benched when there's no guarantee the backup kicker is even worth putting in. I have a feeling he's playing the season and at the end Tucker will either announce retirement or plans to do so in the next year. The guy's been a Ravens legend and it's sad seeing some treat him like he's hot garbage.
DangerMark Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 By and large, I think the Rules Analysts on the major networks are dumbasses who don't have a clearer idea of what a catch is than I do, and I sure as shit didn't need Dean Blandino or whoever to tell me that Al-Shair and whoever decked him first were getting ejected. Still, watching on RedZone last night, there was one rules interaction I would have liked an explanation for: I'm pretty sure it was Washington let the play clock run to zero, but instead of it being Delay of Game, Tennessee had 12 men on the field and that took precedence. Is that right? If so, why is it right?

Is that right? If so, why is it right? The way I saw it explained (but its via the internet so take with a grain of salt) - is that a Too Many Men penalty always gets precedence over Delay of Game because TMM directly impacts play and gives one team an advantage over the other (if it isn't caught) where as Delay of Game is just procedural (as in, if not called, both teams are still starting the play at the same time) It has to do with the "fair play principal" in the NFL rulebook 3
