If(and that's a  big IF ) this is true, then Snyder's fucked. The Shield will tolerate a lot of misbehavior, but fuck with their money? They will gut you.

somehow I get the feeling the other 31 having their stacks directly fucked with by Mr. Snyder is not going to get the same blind eyes and wrist slaps that so much other stuff in this thread has gotten over the years.

LOL. That just seems so patently stupid. If they did it, how could they possibly think they weren't going to get caught?

Quote

Jason Friedman, a 24-year ticketing employee for the Washington Commanders whose employment the team terminated in 2020, testified in the past two weeks before the House Oversight and Reform Committee and alleged financial malfeasance at his former team, three sources said.

His secret testimony appeared to trigger stories last week that the committee, which is already investigating the Commanders’ culture, would now probe the alleged financial improprieties and an allegation that Commanders owner Dan Snyder had failed to share ticket revenue with his peers as required by the NFL.

However, Friedman supplied no evidence to back up his claims, one of the sources said, and it’s not clear if he held a senior enough position (he was a vice president when he was terminated) to have access to the types of records that would back up the assertions, which have sparked renewed speculation about whether the NFL would force Snyder out.

To put a bow on the radio station stuff

This morning it was announced that Washington's new radio partner is iHeartMedia - with the games being broadcast on the Classic Rock station (100.3 FM)

In DC - iHeart owns

  • The aforementioned Classic Rock station
  • The easy listening station that plays Christmas music half the year
  • The Country station
  • The Top 40 station

Washington announced they will be doing events will all those stations so that will be comical

I'm not exactly sure what of this was already in the public sphere already but it sounds like he was fucking over season ticket holders in addition to the NFL.

BTW - in case you were wondering - even this has become insanely political as Republican members of the Oversight Committee keep immediately screaming about how "this doesn't represent them", then shit on the witnesses and of course attacking Biden.

Worth noting that the chickenshits a) put out their statement anonymously and b) did not address any of the actual allegations.

There's gotta be some pressure to get this referred to the FTC or DOJ before the midterms and the house possibly changes hands.

Why is this even less surprising than the team's abuse of their cheerleaders?

If this is true it’s not one shot to the back of the head for Snyder, it’s going to be Sonny Corleone at the toll booth.

I was thinking more of Pesci in the cornfield at the end of Casino.

Holy cow, could the WFT actually be clean in this case?  The mind bewilders at the possibility.  It sounds like this guy is disgruntled after getting fired and then not re-hired after asking for his job back.

While I am not entirely sure this is true given his credibility , I can also 100% believe that these 3 people would think of doing this
