John from Cincinnati Posted November 16, 2017 Posted November 16, 2017 Most likely scenario, Drew retains Saturday and the TakeOver on Rumble weekend is Drew defending against Cole or Cole and Strong in a triple threat, right? Where do things go from there? What is Mania weekend? I've got Drew vs Black or Strong vs Black.
mattdangerously Posted November 17, 2017 Posted November 17, 2017 Drew vs Black seems likely, with Drew vs Ricochet a dark horse candidate.
RIPPA Posted November 18, 2017 Posted November 18, 2017 So that NXT DVD is out that they did the Top 25 greatest NXT superstars on. Assuming this is the legit fan voting (and that they didn't move people around). Here is the Top 25 Spoiler #25 – Rusev #24 – Big E #23 – Corey Graves #22 – Bo Dallas #21 – Ember Moon #20 – Cesaro #19 – Tye Dillinger #18 – Tyler Breeze #17 – Baron Corbin #16 – Becky Lynch #15 – Bray Wyatt #14 – Neville #13 – Samoa Joe #12 – Paige #11 – Alexa Bliss #10 – Charlotte Flair #9 – Bobby Roode #8 – Bayley #7 – Kevin Owens #6 – Sasha Banks #5 – Sami Zayn #4 – Shinsuke Nakamura #3 – Seth Rollins #2 – Asuka #1 – Finn Bálor
JonnyLaw Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 Struck by the lack of tag teams on that list. No Enzo/Cass, Revival, Alpha, or Vaudes.
RIPPA Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 They weren't part of the poll (at least I don't remember them being in it.) There is a segment on the DVD that focuses on the tag teams though
odessasteps Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 Surprised they didn't find a way to out Roman on the list.
RIPPA Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 This isn't a surprise but the next Takeover was officially announced for Jan 27 in Philly

mattdangerously Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 Props to HBK for staying in shape so long after his retirement.

Godfrey Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 Do it, man. I went to the Takeover here in Toronto a year ago and it was a blast. Some of the most fun I've had a wrestling show, even with that dumb shark cage thing.
hammerva Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 Yeah the general rule is that no matter how awful you think the TV buildup is for a Takeover the actual show makes up for it. The perfect example to me is last year Takeover in Orlando. I sold my ticket because I thought the show looked really weak compared to the other show running at same time. Watched it when I came back from the trip and man that was such a good show

He simply isn't important to the NXT story and is only that high because of his post-NXT run. Big E should have been #5.
JonnyLaw Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 Bo Dallas is way too low. He's pretty much Mr. NXT to me.
Beech27 Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 I feel like basically all the women—save Asuka and Bliss—are too low. The revolution rhetoric got tiresome ages ago, but it was pretty paradigm shifting work at the time. Charlotte to Sasha to Bayley is the best stuff the brand has done. Nak, for all that I love him, feels too high. His best match was his first, and that was achieved by recycling spots from his last two Dome matches, and Zayn firing up. (I still love the match, but seriously, watch him versus Ibushi and Styles. Entire sequences are lifted.) After that he either regressed, lazed about, or a bit of both.
RIPPA Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 Well again - assuming they took the shoot results - it was a straight popularity contest. Plus - it was just a "Here is a giant list of people - pick 10" you didn't even get to rank them
RIPPA Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 Per Meltzer - next week's NXT Show (Nov 29) will consists of things tapes on Friday night's NXT show. The McIntyre/Cole match will Michaels as ref will not air though

The face of NXT in it's best run. 1

The Man Known as Dan Posted November 21, 2017 Posted November 21, 2017 He was, but he was basically just "the guy who happens who has to have the belt" before Big E and Bo made the title worth something by being in interesting stories. Seth was just there while NXT was just slightly rebranded FCW.

Go2Sleep Posted November 21, 2017 Posted November 21, 2017 The big snub to me on the NXT list is Neville. He was very important keeping the main event scene stable during the early network days before the wave of peak-day stars arrived and guys like Brodus Clay and Titus O'Niell were major players. I'd go Sami/Sasha as my 1/2, for what it's worth.
