Still, good on GFW to decide to pull the trigger even though the police investigation turned up otherwise; a LOT of other places would've just turned away from it. Maybe it's a sign GFW's finally getting their act together (although I wouldn't bet cash money on that). Honestly, it sounds more like they stripped him because he can't be bothered to show up for the TV tapings than any concern over his behavior. "Alberto is skipping a booking" is far more believable than "TNA/GFW suddenly cares about discipline."

caley 3,596
Although maybe TNA was upset about Del Rio breaking kayfabe. Apparently the problem is that he didn't have a big enough house. we are nonetheless disappointed with the manor in which he dealt with this situation 2

sabremike 3,101
Part of me wonders if the real reason for this is that they only have enough money for one ex WWE guy to build around and they decided John Hennigan was better for them?

Ultimo Necro 2,124
Guys, I think we know where this is headed.... Jarrett finishes 2017 as champ. Jeff and Karen then recreate Triple H and Stephanie's WM biker entrance in an empty minor league stadium at Bound for Glory 2018.... booked by Vince Russo.

They'll recreate HHH & Steph's entrance with Karen hanging on to Jeff on the back of a Huffy.
Curt McGirt 12,351
Naw, it'll be a four wheeler. Added white trashiness. I wish they could only afford a Huffy, though, because that would mean we'd be on the verge of another legal scandal.

The Impact following this Bound For Glory didn't have a match for the ENTIRE FIRST HOUR. It was Hogan and Bischoff doing a WORKED SHOOT, BROTHER about their master plan, and some porn-level acting from Dixie. Man, fuck this company forever.
BEN! 1,965
I think stripping Alberto has less to do with his manor, his house si si si, perro, and more to do with the laziness of just being able to kill time by doing another fucking tournament and finally presenting the new belt (which probably still isn't even done) to the winner at BFG. These marathon tapings are also how you end up with guys going on coke binges and getting stuck with months of tv in the can after your top guy gets caught in the airport coming off a coke binge. Nice Guy Eddie 21,945
Let's be honest, Alberto was going to be in an airport after a coke binge at some point anyway, whether he was working marathon tapings or not. Just call it a hunch. 2

JJ has shown unusual restraint in not draping himself with a vanity championship by now. He'll hold a title before the end of the year, though. I almost added the caveat "if TNA lasts that long" but this fed has proven to be the cockroach of professional wrestling.
RIPPA 33,264
Honestly - has a company changed their belts this many times in such a short period of time? Oh and based on that - they are dumping "Knockouts" and going with "Women's Champion"

Web Conn 2,922
Petey Williams is set to return at the next set of Tapings. They like aping WWE storylines so maybe with Anthem being a Canadian company GFW starts a more aggressive expansion into Canada and with the World Title now vacant Petey wins a tournament beating Morrison in the final for the World title as they expand into Canada ala Jinder Mahal and WWE's exapension into India.
