clintthecrippler
This was definitely the edgiest Update has felt the entire season, Keaton was game for everything, and the pacing of the episode made for maximum laughs from start to finish. Hoping this is finally the moment where the current cast/writing staff really finds their voice.
offspring515
Louis CK, amidst rumors that he likes to jerk off in front of unwilling female comics, hosted the season finale. Forgettable show overall but his monologue bit about child molestation is drawing some anger from people. I found it funny, though I'm a hard person to offend. Hector
It's hard to take Gawker seriously when you have staff people in comments section asking people if they heard any rumors and to PM them if they know of any other rumors. That said, it's now apparent to me Louis stinks on this show, monologues aside.
Dolfan in NYC
Louis's monologue was amazing. This was easily the worst of the 4 shows he's hosted, but it's tough when the other 3 were the class of the seasons they appeared in.
Johnny Sorrow
That fucking Louis monologue had me laughing so hard by the end my stomach hurt.
offspring515
I actually thought it was just ok for a Louis CK monologue. I have no issue with the material and how he handled it. Watching people react on social media was amazing though.
Dewar
Thought he was good on the monologue, but pretty blah during the sketches. Rhianna's performances sucked too.
J.T.
Look who's hosting the March 28th episode. George Ezra is the musical guest. QUICK! CARTWHEEL UP TO ME! That Indiana Jones sketch was the bravest thing thing they ever put on the air up to the ISIS sketch.
Victator
I think you are forgetting the Pregnant Teen Beauty Pageant hosted by Roman Polanski. Which I have never seen and know it could not possibly live up to the premise.http://snltranscripts.jt.org/85/85hpregnant.phtml
Dolfan in NYC
NBC has announced the first 3 hosts this season. That last one has me jazzed. Very glad he's recovered enough to do this again. Plus, BRIAN FELLOWS~~~!
Dolfan in NYC
Taran Killam has snagged the prized impression of the next season. He'll play Donald Trump.
J.H.
I'm so excited to see Tracy return! Here's hoping for Astronaut Jones as well James
TimWresPowr
What were folks thoughts on the season premiere? It seems to be polarizing from what I've read online with most people focusing on the Hillary stuff & the Pope stuff. I thought it was funnier than most of the episodes last season though the back half of the show was kind of flat. In recent years I give props to them for creativity even if something isn't all that humorous. I'm thinking that's the thought of producers too as they seem to like Kyle Mooney. I've never found much of his stuff funny at all but he's creative & "outside the box" that's for sure. I'm sure I'm not their target audience anyway. Dolfan in NYC
And nothing for Amy Schumer? Damn y'all. Anyway, they've announced their host for November 7: Donald Trump
Randy
I didn't really like this week's show. I liked the monologue and The Weeknd, but nothing much else stood out. Alot of it fell flat. I especially didn't like Kate McKinnon's vaguely European character during Update. It sounded too much like her other foreign characters, and this character was from NY, but she didn't have a NY accent.
J.H.
See I like the Porn Teacher Sketch just fine. The Whole "I was worried that your school is in an office building" line gave me a good belly laugh. The monologue was perfect James
Hail Sabin
Porn teacher sketch was the best of the show but the Inside Amy Schumer writers should have written the show and it would have been much better.
Reed
Oh my God. Seriously: Four years of David impersonating Sanders from time to time on SNL is reason alone enough to hope Sanders wins.
Hail Sabin
Tina Fey's take on Playboy has been the highlight of the episode so far.
Gonzo
Pretty good article about Jan Hooks on Grantland today. Also, the speech she gave at Phil Hartman's memorial in 1998.
ChrisM
Larry David as Bernie was the best thing they've done in years! I like Tracy Morgan, but man, watching him was kinda painful, at times.

Death From Above
Watching the Trump show out of morbid curiosity. First time I've watched other than the anniversary show in a long time. Weekend Update was just fantastic, rest of the show is present. Though Trump doing Hotline Bling was awesome. "Listen man bitches. Don't send me any pictures of that shaved junk either." "That was about gender roles."
Curt McGirt
I watched the opening sketch but seeing Trump made me turn it off, sadly just missing Larry calling him a racist and winning five grand. Even if it was in the script, that rules.
piranesi
The funniest moment of the show was during the final credits seeing Kyle Mooney standing next to Ivanka Trump and realizing she's like literally twice his height. I want them to be a thing.
