Just got back from the show. We had a fucking blast and it seemed like TK was genuinely appreciative of the response. Danielson/Hechicero was everything I hoped for and that's even with the janky finish.

Well that was pretty weak, but that's what it shaping up to be on paper. I guess this was more of a "let's just get this over with" transitionary type show. At least we're getting Samoa Joe holding the big belt.

I hope he just keeps getting fired from places until he's in the middle of a Coliseo Coacalco ring talking about how he's "en casa".

The way everyone on commentary continuously mispronounces the word "superstar" makes me think this is a Jackie Jormp-Jomp situation.

I loved that show. So much great shit with Danielson and Starks putting on a great old school Crockett grudge match; Miro and Hobbs tossing each other around like so many sacks of potatoes; and Moxley channeling his inner Necro Butcher/Ian Rotten and mauling the fuck of Orange Cassidy in that match. Best show I've seen in years.

That might be some of the best TV wrestling ever seen. Really good back and forth strong style match with Mox and Page. Thatcher channeled his inner Fuchi against Danielson. An insane MOTYC with Darby and Joe shaving years off their lives. Great shit all around.

Man I'm still laughing at the idea that this guy has to imagine a scenario where he has to defend the honor of Terry Funk from Adam Page like some Don Quixote shit.

The formatting in this company frustrates the hell out of me. Like I don't know how you don't do Jericho/Danielson early on knowing is gonna be a grindy, slow technical match. Switch that up with the trios title match, which was supposed to be a marquee match anyways. Also, not super thrilled with the return of the weekly MJF monologue.

Feels like the one thing you don't want to do as the second biggest promotion in the U.S. is give people TNA vibes, but I guess it's easier said than done.

And they got to stop just announcing major shit in the middle matches. Also, who the fuck was Excalibur apologizing too?

I guess that Jade/Shafir match was like what Bischoff had envisioned when he booked Goldberg vs. Regal. I don't think Jade will get to look so dominant against someone like Deeb though. Also, credit to Ishii for making me enjoy an Adam Cole match.

The Kinder Egg commercial into the Mass Transit blade job was about the most surreal shit I've ever seen in wrestling. Awesome match and an awesome show. Tony Khan is a mad man.

Yeah, I get that having him debut against Caster gives the match a little extra kick, but I would rather make him look 15 years younger. Nese or Kassidy could really make his offense pop. Caster is maybe a little too wooden.

Wish they used a more polished dude to debut Joe. We'll see, I guess.

It's not a bloody one, but Santo vs Casas from 97 was a wildly stiff and violent match. But yes, there's a ton of awesome lucha bloodbaths that span the decades from Pirata Morgan/Satanico to Black Terry/Wotan from a few years ago.

Saw a dude try to compare buying ROH to buying EVOLVE and it took everything in my power not to yell at him. Either I would be getting trolled or I'm doing the Louis CK bit of arguing with a toddler.

Pretty good episode of Dark tonight. Marina Shafir vs Reka Tehaka was an impressive little match. Shafir comes across as the women's division's answer to Drew Gulak and Tehaka had some nice looking strikes of her own. Give them a rematch. Bear Country vs Sydal/Martin was a fun spotfest.
