Rev Ray Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Macho Mani-pedi and the interview with Little Egypt where Austin sings the GLOW theme song is probably what sold me on the show.
TerjeRUN Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 The one where Steve Austin interviews the legendary Stone Cold is pretty fucking amazing as well. Huh? I must have missed this, sounds tasty! Any idea what episode it is?
BurningBeard Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 I've been catching up on loads of podcasts this week as I've got the office to myself. Crying my eyes out at my desk listening to the Mick Foley podcast where they're talking about the Rock acting out fellatio
greenbat Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 "Imaginary load" could've been such a catch phrase
Cobra Commander Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 Of course Studio 54 had the option to pay people in cocaine. Oh yeah, Paul Heyman on the Unleashed version of the Podcast. Oh man, the Heyman explanation of the WWF v. NWA philosophies on their top babyfaces is fucking tremendous and amazing then.. Heyman essentially noting that Cena's most credible way to "beat Brock Lesnar's ass" is to find a dark place in his soul because Hustle/Loyalty/Respect would get destroyed every time. Although for all we know, this leads to Darkside Cena like Hogan in Black in October 1995 "When does fighting evil require you to become evil to defeat evil"
TerjeRUN Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 Of course Studio 54 had the option to pay people in cocaine. Is that true?
Cobra Commander Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 Of course Studio 54 had the option to pay people in cocaine. Is that true? The source for that is Paul Heyman, so... Maybe?
JCM Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 Not even Heyman and Austin could make Cena's character sound interesting despite their best efforts.
Cobra Commander Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 Yeah, John Cena is Floyd Patterson with a better chin and less fight ducking and Brock Lesnar went Sonny Liston on him
cool arrow Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 Of course Studio 54 had the option to pay people in cocaine. Is that true? The source for that is Paul Heyman, so... Maybe? Seems plausible to me. Cutting out the middle man.
E.J. Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 Austin admitting that he dabbled in, or at least tried coke is a pretty refreshing revelation that most people wouldn't have the balls to admit today. Especially a dude of his caliber.
Rev Ray Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Considering he started in the very late 80's, I am not surprised someone in the pro-wrestling business didn't at least try cocaine once.
odessasteps Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Considering he started in the very late 80's, I am not surprised someone in the pro-wrestling business didn't at least try cocaine once. Heyman carefully worded his statement by saying he had never done a line of cocaine.
bink_winkleman Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Started commuting again, so I'm catching up with these. -Kamala is so lovable. -Tommy Dreamer is not. I never realized that I actually hate that guy. Though it was great to hear him tell the other side if Heyman's ECW story. I'm sure that's old hat to most of you, but I'd never really kept up with it. It was amazing how delusional he was about TNA's New York shows. Austin repeatedly calling him on his bullshit was good stuff. In the middle of the second Foley one and living it. The ease of the conversation is great, and Foley's coming off a lot better than he tends to in a lot of interviews. But this kind of back-and-forth with a wrestler that's an old friend with no gimmick to sell is fantastic and something Austin can't do enough of. It's something Jericho does a lot more of, but that's probably because Jericho's friends are much more accessible. Can't wait to hear the new Heyman ep.
odessasteps Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 I presume that his statement was a way to not admit to doing crack or other ways of doing it without snorting.

Johnny Sorrow Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 I believe Paul E never did blow. I'm sure he handled a lot of it, though. 1
Phantom Lord Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 I believe Paul E never did blow. I'm sure he handled a lot of it, though. Paul E. Dangerously would have been the prototype villian of the week on Hunter or any other late 80's cop shows.
TimLivingston Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Austin made an appearance on College Gameday today. Pretty awesome stuff.
TerjeRUN Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 I presume that his statement was a way to not admit to doing crack or other ways of doing it without snorting. If he didn't do a line due to fear of death, I can't see him smoking crack...

Especially a dude of his caliber. I wouldn't say refreshing. I find it quite upsetting to hear anybody doing coke to be honest. I guess in certain circles its more readily available.

A circle like say, a wrestling locker room.
