This week is a big one as we get the tournament brackets for the Men's and Women's Owen Hart Cup on Dynamite and Dynasty on PPV. Enjoy!

Earlier start time for AEW All In:

"On Tuesday, The Dallas Morning News reported that AEW All In: Texas at Globe Life Field in Arlington on July 12 will have a special early start time. The pay-per-view will begin at 3 p.m. Eastern time, or 2 p.m. local Central time. Additionally, a week of shows leading up to the big event has also been announced."

I think 3pm Eastern time/2pm Central time is 8pm in the UK unless the 'net is lying to me. That's way better than 1am in the fucking morning like AEW PPV's over here with the exception of All In 2023-2024 held in the UK.

Apropos of little, I Googled "July 12" and the "AI" summary told me that July 12, 2025 was a Friday. I had to check my calendar to confirm it was actually a Saturday.

I realize the programs people are widely calling "AI" these days are far from being AI, but ye gods, how hard could it be to have the system get that question right?

SRS is reporting Orange Cassidy has a torn pec.

It is unclear if the cambium is still in contact, or if pruning will be required.

Aw, man that sucks.  I think the world of the guy and when thinking AEW he's one of the top names that comes to mind.  It's a torn pec but hopefully he's not out too long.

It'll need surgery. Depends on the severity and the recovery. Cody Rhodes was out seven months with his operation. Triple H five months. Edge four months. John Cena three.

Mark Davis is out again with an injury, too.

Fuck that sucks, Davis has only just returned after over a year out with a broken wrist.

Jay White is also out of action with a broken hand which needed surgery.

Somehow I don’t think Cassidy will have the same “recovery regimen” they did.

Yeah, if he rehabbed too hard to get back quickly it'd kill his gimmick >_>

We need a half assed Rocky montage of Orange Cassidy style vignettes.

I need to see The Outrunners coaching Orange through physical therapy.  Leg warmers, Jane Fonda workout on VHS, the whole thing.  Truth can go into his fanny pack for “some special supplements that helped the boys a lot back in the day” and Orange would turn them down.

Josh Alexander as the Wild card meeting Ospreay in the finals would be a helluva deal. Their early 2024 TNA match was pretty goddamn outstanding.

Yeah, I thought of Josh Alexander as a Wild Card possibility today. I forgot about him when I mentioned Darby Allin and Jeff Jarrett as possible picks.

Apparently Mark Davis is injured now, too. Which tracks, because he clearly started moving really gingerly in the latter half of the match with Hobbs last week.

Thats a shame, because he was really coming into his own as a thick boi heel.

Honestly, if anyone in AEW has earned a prolonged rest, it’s OC. Just sucks it’s under these circumstances

I hope that bringing Athena and Billie Starkz up to the main AEW roster is a permanent move, they will both add a ton to a loaded division. Honestly, they ought to consider moving Deeb down to ROH to be the veteran working with the next generation of women. Have Athena vacate the title, and let Aminata and Deeb feud over it. When Skye Blue is ready to come back, have her rehab there for a spell. Keep developing Robyn Renegade, see if Leila Gray has any value besides valet. Hell, let Harley drop in from time to time.

"Get ready for four straight hours of AEW.

The company officially confirmed on Saturday that a live four-hour block featuring both AEW Dynamite and Collision will be taking place on June 4 in Denver, Colorado. This will mark the return of their Fyter Fest television special, which last took place in 2023."

If you asked me my favourite AEW World Champion ever, you'd be surprised by my answer. It wouldn't be Bryan Danielson. I'm glad Bryan Danielson won the AEW World Championship but it should have happened in 2022 and not 2024 plus what it led to with Jon Moxley's reign of terror. My answer is Samoa Joe. I've always liked Samoa Joe since 2004. Joe has an aura and believability about him, a badass. The way he wrestles and the way he talks. I'm glad he got to have the world title reign he was twice robbed off vs. Brock Lesnar and AJ Styles in WWE.

Probably won't be pleasant waiting to get in, but the stadium has a retractable roof.

Watching the Dynasty zero hour and all this All In hype made me think: All Out must feel so miserable right now! It used to be the Top PPV of the year (failed at it, mostly but still...) and now it's a fucking Backlash!?! If I was All Out, I'd probably be looking for bridges to jump off of at this point!

…I wouldn’t bash AEW. And it seems to me by far, the worst part about AEW — and I hope this quote gets picked up — is the fans on IWC. The fans are so ignorant.
-RVD

Perhaps ‘fans on the internet’ is a bit too reductive, but I find myself agreeing with this sentiment concerning ‘a great many fans’.
