Dolfan in NYC
I'm comin' up so you better get this party started.... So, 2024's Money in the Bank featured the first ever unsuccessful day-of Cash In with that cheeky fella CM Punk causing Drew McIntyre to lose his chance. But on the good side... it's TIFFY TIME~! for the foreseeable future. Get this party started on a Saturday night... Everybody's waitin' for me to arrive! And we're on our way to the biggest party of the year in just 4 weeks in noted party city... um, says Cleveland on here. So... okay.  I mean some places in Ohio City are fun? I'm comin' up so you better get this party started. I'm comin' up, I'm comin'! Damien Priest will face GUNTHER... and hopefully lose!  Cody will probably(?) face Solo Sikoa... and probably win!  Let's see what else is in store. Enjoy the week! (Jesus, I'd forgotten how extremely 2001 this video is.)

Chaos
RAW was background noise for me tonight. It felt very run-in/post match shenanigans heavy tonight. I’m interested in the Stark/Sonya/Shayna trio.  The ending was just really good booking, and it was hard not to react in the moment. Dom finally gets the high of pinning his dad to that immediate uh oh!

Greggulator
Damage CTRL vs. KCs/Lyra was really friggin’ good. Great fun cruisers style stuff. Loved Damage CTRL getting the big win only to get ransacked by the Shayna/Zoey/Sonya trio. I am a huge fan of those three and a great pairing together. Sonya never got her due — good character stuff and down low really solid in the ring.

NikoBaltimore
Loved the show and especially the ending. For all the talk about the Attitude Era coming back in reality they kind of found a way to have some elements on the shows yet it's in a way that works for 2024. The Liv/Dom stuff has been incredibly fun to check out with the idea that when Rhea comes back all hell breaks loose. And what's weird is the lead-up tonight was kind of the same wackiness with the stretching plus the group peeking in for a laugh. The match itself was pretty rad and just when it appears Dom finally gave in they drop the hammer at the right time. Incredible stuff and I hope all involved get a bonus or something. And the thing that completely went over my head until just now is that it was Rhea that was on the phone with Damian earlier. So hell yeah to him being so sick of this shit that he arranged for her to be the surprise he wouldn't even let the group know about.
Phantom Lord
Pretty good show tonight. The Wyatt Sick6 continues to be interesting. Maybe with Bo showing up at Pearce's office we'll finally get something with them all in the ring. The six man with Braun and Awesome Truth vs. Carlito and Judgement Day was fun. I loved when Braun and Truth did the double team train and JD noped his way out of being run over. Judging by the end of the match though, it looks like Miz might be about to turn on Truth. Damage CTRL vs. Lyra/KCs was a good match. Didn't expect the ending though with Shayna/Zoey/Sonya jumping Damage CTRL. That should be a good group. The main event was all right. I'm no fan of these mixed tags. I'd rather see an intergender match because the women end up doing moves on the guys anyway. Not saying it has to be like on the Indy's with some intergender matches, but I just hate the men fight the men and women fight the women aspect. That said, Liv is so good at what she's doing and Dominick almost finally gave in tonight just before Mami's music hit. Liv's plan is multi layered though as judging by this video the WWE put up. https://x.com/WWE/status/1810514370604016017 Â

Jamal
Really enjoyed Damage Ctrl vs Lyra/KCs and it sounded like the crowd might finally be coming around a bit. Nice stuff at the end with Zoey/Shayna/Sonja and then the tag champs. Let's spice this ish up
The Natural
Gunther HAS to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam and do for it what he did the WWE Intercontinental Championship.
Shadow
I feel like they've dropped the ball incredibly with Shayna Baszler. She has the look of a killer. She should have been booked more like she was in NXT where she just snapped chicks arms for fun. They have something there with her but she needs to be in every promo class they can get her in. Having Zoey and Sonya is a good idea though and I can buy Zoey similarly in Shayna's league and it was nice to see fire from Sonya.

Dolfan in NYC
For the record, I knew Damien's title reign was ending the moment he personally waived the Seth Last Chance stip from Saturday. He might as well say he's a week from retirement and going to live on a boat with his wife.

No doubt by Berlin he'll be Champ. I wouldn't mind him being Champ for that long but as much as we love Gunther, I see people like Punk, Seth maybe and even Cena they might want to put the belt on for different reasons. I wouldn't mind if he broke Roman's record. Being the IC for 2 years is different than being the main champion of that brand for 2 years. Then again they are doing amazing business right now and possibly continue to trend up that they don't have to have to always keep the 2 Main Men's titles on the top draws. Plus they are run by the same people that run UFC. I think it's a good image to have one of the top titles on some one that's far removed from the Sports Entertainment type presentation. The more basic WWE audience expects to see him wrestle. He's look like someone from the early years of UFC. From that view point he would be an amazing representative of WWE merger with UFC. He's the closest thing to Johnny Valentine where you say" I can't make you believe wrestling is real but I can make you believe I'm real". Gunther is the type of wrestler you can show his matches to a guy that rolls his eyes at wrestling and have that person watch and they have their attention Edited July 9 by Ziggy
Eivion
Didn't get power back until a few hours ago so I missed Raw and had to catch the Hulu version which also left out the women's match so I checked YT for that. A lot of the matches were mostly about serving angles with only the women's tag getting to really deliver something solid. Thought that was a good showcase for Damage CTRL as a whole and probably more of what we should have seen in the months prior before the post match beatdown came from Sonya, Shayna, and Zoey. I do like the new group so I'm curious to see how things play out. The actual angles and segments for the show brought more to the table. The Seth/Punk segment was one of Seth's better moments. Also dug the respect bit backstage between Seth and Priest. Bron destroying Sami over his loss to force the issue of a rematch was neat. And all of the Liv/Dom stuff finally leading to Rhea's return was good to see.
StuntmanCrowley
I want the trio of Stark/Bayszler/Deville to get a strangehold on the womens tag belts and defend under Freebird Rules. I really think that could be such a boost to that division
Dolfan in NYC
I may well be an idiot, but there's something about Joe Hendry that just makes me smile. Dude is a supernova of charisma, he'll just have to be passable in the ring and he'll make a quadrillion dollars in WWE. 2
Eivion
Opening segment with Page, Trick ect. was fine and setup the main event decently enough. Arianna/Karmen was decent. Dug the post match attack with Fallon seemingly making her partnership with Jacy and Jazmyn official. Lexis/Tony was solid though still has the usual issues where as good as Lexis presents as a character, his ring work is just so average compared to so many others in NXT and WWE in general. He isn't bad, but a lot of the rookies in NXT outclass him both male and female. Hopefully something clicks for him because he shows potential as an obnoxious asshole you want to see faces beat. Tyson/Tyriek vs. Gallus was a solid clubbering match. The MSK/Rascals reunion was good. Had a feeling it was coming since they started to work with TNA, just wasn't sure how. Thought it was well executed here. Curious to see if Wes is working TNA as well since last I checked results Rascals were heels there. Looking forward to seeing how they balance things out. Any combo of the three should make for a great match with Axiom and Frazer, and Page as champ does feel like a good opening to finally have Wes step up from the NA division. Thea/Izzi was fine while it lasted, but it was more about further pushing the Tatum/Izzi story and the post match with Duke and Oba verbally sparring. I did like the later backstage footage revealing why Tatum is targeting Izzi and with Wendy watching on at the end. Will be interesting to see if they go for a Tatum/Wendy feud or partnership. O kind of prefer the latter. Glad Thea is finally getting built towards a challenge to Perez though its kind of shame it seems to be more for a smaller PLE instead of something larger away from the PC/CWC. I am looking forward to Oba/Duke, just wish it had a bit more build with as popular as Duke is. OTM vs. Good Brothers was decent. Ruca/Fallon was mostly solid aside from one spot where one or both seemed to be tired and off. Was happy to see the partnership of Fallon with Jacy & Jazmyn continue though I think they should have done it before the Sol Snatcher. Trick/Hendry vs. Page/Spears was solid fun. Was happy to see them make good on all of the Joe Hendry teases throughout the night. The crowd was into everything with him, and it felt like Hendry made the most of the moment. Will be fun to see how this NXT/TNA partnership continues. Nothing stood out here too strong math wise though nothing was bad. Segment wise most was decent though I think the Rascals reunion was the highlight for me since you could see how happy all three guys were to reunite officially, and the crowd was all for it. Not the best but a decent show. I like the directions they are heading for currently for the most part though I was hoping for something a bit stronger after after such a good show in Heatwave.
