  2. Oh, and how much better would the KO return angle have been if he'd actually been gone at all?

  4. Start of Raw: Gargano and Ciampa debut, with high hopes and a continuation of their epic NXT feud on the horizon. End of Raw: Gargano and Ciampa stand side by side, among a crowd of jobbers beating up Roman Reigns.

  5. Oh yeah of all the ways to handle KO quitting. They could have shot scenes of him at home with his kids. Disillusioned with wrestling. Lacking any kind of self-confidence. Showing signs of vulnerability hiding behind the over the top personality we've grown to know him for. What do we get? no real explanation as to why he decided to leave. What's his motive for randomly attacking Lashley? is he just going to be a loose cannon and attack random dudes until Cena shows up and destroys him? Yeah, probably. What a waste of some genuine buzz and storytelling. This company fucking sucks

  6. Also, someone needs to tell me who on the writing staff just discovered Rick and Morty and decided to make Bobby Lashley into the mailman:

  8. Last week I was pretty much done with WWE, or Raw at the very least. Out of habit, I start watching this week with the WORST CAMERA WORK EVER. Christ, just stop it! There were a million different cuts and the cameras were zooming in and out constantly. It's the worst camera work ever. I fucking hate it. Like, we just had maybe one of the best American PPVs this year in All In with probably 1/4 the budget WWE has for production and likely less experience as well, but it was filmed so much better. This is going to be shocking to some, but you don't need all of the hyper frenetic camera work and cuts if what you're filming is actually good. Imagine what All In or, hell, NJPW or even UFC or the NFL or MLB or NBA would look like with the absolute garbage camera work in WWE. I remember messing around with zooms on a video recorder when I was a kid and zooming in and out was real silly and funny. That's when I was a kid! It's just nauseating to watch. Right then and there I just wanted to stop watching, but I continued on and fast forwarded through a whole bunch of bullshit along the way. I can't even begin to think about why Drake needed to wear SWAT gear like the AoP when Paul Ellering was their manager in a suit and sometimes a sport coat over a fucking mock turtleneck and he looked badass. Once again WWE writes something that makes zero sense legally and I wish they would stop with that. I can only suspend my disbelief so much. So you're telling me that a bunch of uniformed officers put the Shield in a fucking paddy wagon at the start of the show, you find out later that they were all booked and fingerprinted, and then these guys not only break out of jail, but they steal the same paddy wagon and make their way back to the arena and the police are all like, well, whatever and don't even chase them back?! What kind of fucked up shit is that? Like, do these guys have no concept at all of building towards a singular event throughout the show? Fine, the Shield steal the police van, but damn, at least say that "we're hearing that the Shield have broken out of jail and they're headed back here to the arena. We'll keep you folks posted with any other developments!" Then at some point you show a video feed of the Shield being chased by other police cars. The next thing you see is that the Shield arrive at the arena before the police do. They then slam shut the garage door to the arena and start throwing things in front of the door Blues Brothers style. They make their way to the ring, beat up some low level shits along the way, get to the ring, and then you just do everything they did at the end of the show. If you're going to be ridiculous, go all out. Build up to this shit along the way. Instead this garbage is written like someone saying "the Shield get arrested, but then at the end of hour 3 they're back at the arena in the same police van!" and not one fucking person questions it or builds off of it. It's infuriating. This doesn't even touch on the other bullshit throughout the show, like Bobby Lashley trying to meditate with FORMER WWE CHAMPION AND CURRENT YOGI, JINDER MAHAL only to be attacked by KO because...well fuck it, who cares why. I don't want to hate watch this show, but it's hard not to when I'm watching it in hopes of it getting better or being as good as it could be only to see that it's just actively worse. For example, I was largely fine with the Shield getting their asses kicked. That was a good beat down except 1) KO is out there as a JAG and 2) This is just going to lead to the Shield murdering the entire roster next week.

  9. Lita and Trish are entitled to a spot on this PPV. They carried the division for years in a period when the women could have disappeared and no one would have noticed. The Chyna title reign damaged the division badly. Trish stepped up both in the ring and as a character and carried the division.

  11. Nah, I don't have hard feelings for anyone on this board. Anyway, whatever. If you ever want to tell me about it, the door to my office is always open. In the event that I get an office. You'll come in, we'll talk about the raisins, have a nice laugh

  12. I actually kinda like the pairing of R-Truth and Carmella. They seem like a pretty natural pairing. It's really refreshing to see Bryan standing tall at the end of the show, and not made to look like an idiot. I'm very glad Bryan vs. Almas was a clean match. Hopefully, Bryan and Miz are kept apart for a long, long while after HITC. I'd love a Bryan/Almas feud. Nice to see Rusev Day get the win. They're still over. It's long overdue for them to have a tag title reign. I didn't want to see a re-hash of New Day/Usos and I don't want to see a re-hash of New Day/The Bar. Overall, much better than Raw. Things mostly make sense on SD, whereas Raw feels like it's booked by someone with dementia. See, I'm not negative about WWE all the time.

  13. I would love it if Vince, who is clearly not paying any attention to NXT, told Hunter to call up #DIY And there they are on Raw next week like nothing has happened.

  16. I do think 5 hours is too long for any PPV but it worked for ALL IN big time because there was enough variety, there was always something interesting going on. You had the battle royal and kickoff section which featured some old timers and then you had a celebrity match, the Ring of Honor section of the show, the women's part of the show, the NWA portion of the show, the dick portion of the show and then all the Japan/Bullet Club/Lucha stuff. It wasn't like watching Bobby Roode vs. Lashley and then going straight into The "B" Team vs. Titus Worldwide where none of the guys are particularly over and the writing for all the characters has been terrible and the matches have been done over a dozen times on free TV. That is a chore. If these ALL IN PPVs are going to continue on this was a pretty damn good blueprint.

  17. On top of that, why show up when he "quit"?

  18. Gregg didn't get shit on for liking something. He got shit on for the way he expressed it, which was often in an antagonistic way. As for why I watch, same as what others said. I have one foot out the door, the other foot is following and then something happens to pull me back in for another week. I'll say this though, and it again comes after watching All In, if the camera work remains the same with the Shield around, I'm done. I'm not going to get fucking sick to my stomach and get legit nauseated watching this garbage. Even if the rest of the show isn't as badly presented as that, there's just no point in me watching.

  19. The Mizzes should be a warmup feud for Bryan on the way to a program with Almas instead of the other way around.

  20. If they get me to care that much about Bray within the next seven months, they deserve every cent of that TV deal.

  21. Cynicism can be exhausting. I agree. I miss Greg's posts in these threads. Yes his positivity was borderline delusional at times and he got rightfully shit on for it, but his presence is missed. If you liked something then speak about it. Who cares

  22. My point is if I gave my opinion, which isn't in full keeping with the masses here, I get shit on. Y'know. And if you still follow a show you think has sucked long enough to be a high school junior, I don't get it.

  23. Y'know. Raw has sucked since like, 2002? Maybe. I'm quite apathetic to it now. Now and again it will surprise you and deliver something great. Now when an angle like the recent Owens one creeps up and differs from the same boring formula, it heightens the intrigue, it makes you want to see what happens next. And then we get that. The complaints are justified.

  25. Then, there's a lot of sour people out there. Either that, or they watched it, laughed, but want to seem like they're above laughing at a parade of men dressed like penii, then will defend the Undertaker stuff as not being hokey. Jim Morrison said it best, people are strange.

  27. I've been trying to watch this little by little and I've made me way up to the Kenny vs Penta match. Incredible show so far. This is what a crowd pleasing event should be and it has felt like a complete celebration of pro wrestling.

  28. I really only have one thought, and it was the prevailing thought I had watching what I did last night. Can we please leave the "wrestler or wrestlers get arrested or put in an ambulance and drive it back into the arena in 1998-99 where it belongs?"

  31. Wouldn't a "stable" be a collection of wrestlers under a common manager, while a "faction" would be a group without a manager? I know the NWO having a sort-of manager in Bischoff muddies the waters a bit.

  34. And maybe I'll be there to catch it. I'll be at the go home RAW for the Evolution PPV so I have a reason why I'm invested in all this. I'm guessing Ronda has a big segment on the show, maybe a contract signing or something. They should just make it an all women RAW. Save the dudes for the dark match when I'm trying to get out of the parking garage. I just hope I remember where we parked.

  38. That was a fairly horrific episode. That Brie botch was pretty awful, how embarassing. Lashley is really trying to get over MY MAN! as a catch phrase apparently. That ending sure was something. In addition to being a liar, a thief, a woman abuser, law enforcement assaulter, federal inmate escapee, we can now add car thief to Roman's resume.
