Death From Above
Whole lotta butt clenching going on now. Grabthar's Hammer, protect Roberto Osuna.
Dewar
Things I have learned today: Blue Jays starters really need to go more than 5 innings. Everyone not named Osuna in the bullpen is terrible.
elizium
Missed the first half of the game, was it stupid of Gibby to take out Happ?
Death From Above
Happ had given up a bunch of hits but earned his money working out of jams. No real issue with the hook.
Jiji
Not really. Pitch count was high and Happ was fighting through his innings.

Infinit
We are looking good with Sanchez and Stroman pitching at the Dome. Gonna be a crazy long weekend in the Tdot.
Jiji
It's something he did at the end of his last regular season appearance in Boston. A Japanese-style hesitation move. Both times it worked. It definitely will mess with a hitter's timing if you're only doing it once and in crunch pitches.
elizium
Cool, thanks guys, I don't trust Gibby's bullpen management, so I thought he might have early hooked him.
John from Cincinnati
How many times does Cecil have to fail to get out one lefty for Gibbons to stop working those matchups? Rhetorical question obviously. Gibby ain't never gonna stop.
Dewar
Happ left two men on in each of the first 4 innings. He wasn't giving up runs, but he was getting dangerously close. Gibby's bullpen, outside of Osuna, looked horrific today. As bad as a bullpen effort that does not include an Aaron Loup appearance. They need the starters to go 6+ to help ease my nerves. Days like today are the reason why people still talk about moving Sanchez to the bullpen.

Infinit
David Price or J.A. Happ and Marco Estrada? Yeah, the Jays made the right call last off season.

It really shouldn't be this hard to acquire bullpen help but it's been two years in a row with brutal depth out there. I hope Liriano is okay because he's the only reliever out there I kind of trust and he can eat up innings while bridging to Osuna. Cleveland has such a great team even with the key injuries. They were being sold short big time by prognosticators going into this match-up. I fucking hate their nickname and the half-measures they've taken on that front though.
hammerva
We aren't getting the prime Kershaw right now luckily. I am sure the pitch count is an issue but the biggest problem is the lack of communication with the catcher. I am assuming this isn't the normal Dodger catcher because he is struggling
odessasteps
They did trade AJ Ellis at the trade deadline.

A lot of bad happenstance for the jays bullpen. Last year Cecil was lights out but gets hurt, Latroy Hawkins wore out, Mark Lowe lost his Seattle form. This year Storen sucked Cecil lost it. Benoit showed something but gets hurt. Grilli is looking tired. On paper the pen wasn't expected to be an issue this year.

Jiji
He's the fucking man. What a beaut'. I fell in love with him after reading that ESPN article about his sister from last year. The fact he's this wiz kid with an obvious wart that he's been working on so hard makes him even more endearing. Go, Cubs, go!
Ryan
That wind must have been blowing in quite a bit because on a normal night that looked like it was going to Wayland.
Jiji
It was. It also stopped Buster Posey's 9th inning double from turning into a round-tripper too.
piranesi
I talked to my old man on the phone before the game and he basically said "Wind's blowin' in, 1-0. Winds blowin' out 9-6." Not like that was a brilliantly unique observation about Wrigley...but I couldn't help but smile a little.
Niners Fan in CT
David Price again but what I did not expect is Cleveland to shut down the Sox lineup as they have. At times Boston's lineup seemed unstoppable and sure Cleveland has a good staff but I didn't see it coming.
Serious Darius Bagfelt
No one likes to use the term momentum but Boston had that 11-12 game unbeaten string then that last series against Toronto they seemed to cool off and they havent picked it up again. But of any team in this postseason they can go out and bludgeon their way to 7 straight wins to get to the series
