You don't have to like it or think it was well done / a good idea. I don't think a lot of us like it or think it was done well, me included lol. But that's what was planned. It wasnt a pivot or change from any injury or anything. Dude isnt working 30+ mins against Okada if he's so hurt you have to have him drop the belt in an emergency rush.

It was always have him win, get a short run to say thank you to him, & reward the fans. Then drop it in his home state 2 months later. Remember he didn't want a title run at all. So a short reign being planned is very likely when you consider it to be the compromise they agreed on.

I think throwing in some short reigns here and there are good for business. Let things feel unpredictable again. So I don't have a problem with the short reign part of the equation.

There are short term patches that can be done en route to longer treatment. Moreover, there’s every indication that he gave Birdie a specific date that he’d be done, overarching story be damned. If Tony wanted Bryan in his title lineage and wanted him to win at Wembley, this is what he had to work with. I would have done things differently personally, primarily around the Jack Perry match but that’s just me.

Sorry guys, I just can't believe anyone with even a little bit of intelligence and creativity thought the Danielson reign we got, 46 days long with a "lose and I retire" stip that had zero time to breathe and create drama, was the thing to do.  I can believe one of the two things quoted above, but not both.

I wonder if the run and wrestling in general might be a bit more ‘Subjective’ than you’ve come to believe? Or maybe this is a great point and the many of us who loved Danielson v Swerve and the glorious Title win do indeed show a lack of ‘intelligence’ and ‘creativity’? If so here’s the nail in my coffin - I liked the shorter 46 day reign (a welcome change to only long runs in aew) and I also liked the decision to pivot to Mox and Nigel. I loved how they did it and loved that it was unpredictable.

As great of a moment Danielson beating Swerve for title was, I feel Swerve could've benefited more from a longer title. The same way I felt when they had Punk beat Hangman. Sure Punk was a proven draw during the early part of his run but he didn't need the belt as that time. I'm sure Hangman and Swerve will trade the title in the future though

I think Samoa Joe should have held the AEW World Championship a tad longer.

I actually agree despite all of your other posts coming off as a 12 year old whos never watched wrestling before.

In the span of 18 posts you managed to piss off two well-liked people on here.  And that Gordi fella?  He's one of the nicest people on here so for him to tell you to fuck off that's saying something.  So either you wise up or get the fuck out of here but either way you just made the ignored list.  Natural I hope you put him on there as well as he ain't worth it.

Cheers, mate. Really rare for me to tell anyone to fuck off here and away from but had to for this twat. Rare for Gordi also. KriskitaKoloff is now on my Ignored Users list. Thanks again.

Seriously, though.  If you’re going on a wrestling message board to just personally attack a stranger for nothing, maybe take a look at your life and try to figure out why you’re so miserable.  Something back there caused this.  If you can figure it out, you might have a chance at happiness.  Fuck.  Just some real talk from a dude with his own problems who is trying every day.

Completely unrelated, but I hear the dulcet tones of Johnny Cash in the distance.

It's a very low bar to disagree with people without being needlessly mean or cruel, and yet you stumbled over it. Please do better.

As for things that actually matter (and definitely not that idiot) this is the first AEW show I forgot to order until 8:30 that night.  It was mainly for the replay and to give them my $20 (thanks, VPN/Triller!)  But even knowing shows that don't have much interest ending up being great I just forgot.  The hype wasn't there when it should have been and aside from Inoki's sons and maybe Shibata there wasn't anything else that made Wrestledream feel unique from other PPVs.  It also meant there was no Discord streaming from me which I feel bad about.

Now all that said after finally getting around to catching up I feel it was a damn good show.  This was the first Jay White match in AEW that I really got into and if he has more matches like this then give him whatever title he damn well pleases.  Mariah/Willow and Mortos/Hologram were fucking awesome and another standout match was the three way.  Takeshita was such a great disruptor and earned every bit of that win.

But the only match I haven't seen in full and might not need to is the main.  I tried to watch after getting home on Saturday at around 1am but fell asleep after the match started and before the end.  What matters more is the post-match which did wake me up a bit before I passed out.  It was a well-done post match and as somebody who still loves Moxley I'm interested to see where things go.  I know this will be a long-term story and will trust the payoff will be worth it all.  But that will also mean things are gonna get a bit grim in the world title picture which make things interesting for when I have people over for Full Gear.  Between Jerry Lynn's pep talk to Orange and showing the up-and-comers standing ringside to end the show it's obvious who TK is hoping will get elevated out of all this.  Hopefully it works out for all involved.

There are lot of people on this planet you can insult....Natural is absolutely not one of them.  Absolutely one of the nicest people on here.

Yeah, no need to be shitty. If you want to apologize and move on with posting here without needlessly insulting people, please do. If you can't do that, please move on.

Honestly, at this stage of my fandom, I'd kind of like to hear the takes of a 12 year old who has never watched wrestling before. It'd be refreshing.

Kids are the best to hear about wrestling from. They're usually enthusiastic as all heck and full of joy.

Nothing's started to make me appreciate wrestling more than seeing how into everything my 11 year old gets and has started making me not be so critical of workrate and more of overall experience.

Best wrestling memory. Brody King wrestling Ruby Raze in a VFW hall, Brody yells "YOUR SCARED RUBY!!!" leading to a small girl yell "NO YOUR SCARED BRODY!"
