I've seen a lot of current Price due to living with old people, but I haven't seen Plinko in ages it feels like.

Most of the free streaming apps like PlutoTV and FreeVee have a channel streaming episodes from the early 1980's, really fun and interesting to watch.

It's still a great game show. Drew really comes off like the best possible choice they could have made too. He's just so damn... nice.

My second choice for best game is the hill climber/yodeller which they still do.

Yeah, saw that trailer and jaw dropped at the lineup. Then I thought "where the hell did they find Demi Moore hiding at?!"

EDIT: Ha, and buried in the credits list on Wiki is Jessica Lange

In rehab we watched every day. I think I saw Plinki once in that time. I also feel they've dumbed down some of the games. The one with the different floors of the house is a current favorite plus the yoddler.

Finally catching up on Bob's Burgers and the new Jimmy Pesto is really spot on, much better than the new Alex.

I figure I know why Pesto's voice got changed, but I hadn't heard anything about Thomas Middleditch. Googled, and I'm assuming the Alex voice change was due to the allegations made against Middleditch in 2021?

A YouTube page featuring TV pilots from the last few decades recently posted a 1996 pilot for ABC called "Southern Fried Ice" starring George "Iceman" Gervin and Art Donovan and featuring a special guest appearance by Eddie George.

This was around the time Gervin made those "Cooking With Ice" ads for Nike. Art doesn't ask how much anyone weighs.

Sopranos first season marathon on today. It ends with... the family sitting at a restaurant, eating.

Heh.

EDIT: Another thought. Sitting at the restaurant also -- and only -- are Paulie and Silvio, Chris and Ade. Makes one come to certain conclusions about what ended up happening to Paulie. And if you really wanna go there, the rest of the family.

Apparently they're continuing the marathons on HBO2 if you're interested. Nancy Marchand's Livia is so funny and so evil, still. Everything is so randomly awful coming out of her mouth: "Your ear, it's deformed!" "Well anyway, they crashed, the car blew up, and their bodies were incinerated!" It's like death metal lyrics. I'm watching the first ep of second 2 and at the nursing home, out of nowhere to Meadow she just whispers "At night, they hit us." I fell out.

I got to attend a Fox Pilot Watch at Notre Dame in mid '96. We were shown two pilots(one for "Party Girl" and one for a show about a casino). We got some swag for attending and I chose a t-shirt that showed every character of The Simpsons. I liked the casino show and didn't like Party Girl, and Party Girl is the one that got a really short run.

I’ve warmed up to the theory that Paulie betrayed Tony in a back room deal and was going to end up running the Jersey mob as the “glorified crew” that New York wanted them to be.

I’ve gone back and forth on that one, I don’t think Paulie was smart enough or ambitious enough to do that, plus I can totally see him thinking being boss was cursed. Now on the other side Butchie was totally smart/ambitious enough to do that, plus he was tired of Phil’s shit.
