RIPPA
MLB will officially take over the broadcasts of Diamondback games starting with tonight's game Basically a bankruptcy judge approved Diamond Sports request to shed the contract Quote Like it did upon taking over the San Diego Padres' broadcasts at the end of May, MLB will make D-backs games available blackout-free through its streaming service, MLB.TV, and will provide a linear cable option on different channels through Cox, DirecTV, Spectrum and Comcast Xfinity. Other providers such as Mediacom, Orbitel, TDS and Optimum/Suddenlink will also carry D-backs games, as will the streaming service Fubo. By lifting blackouts, MLB stated that the D-backs' reach can increase from 930,000 to 5.6 million homes in the team's home television territory. Local fans can pay $19.99 a month or $54.99 for the rest of the season to stream D-backs games; the next six games, through Sunday, will be provided for free through the team's official website and the MLB app. MLB will use the same broadcasters, Steve Berthiaume and Bob Brenly, and are expected to deploy most of the same behind-the-scenes workers to maintain the team's broadcasts for the rest of this season. Cobra Commander
scoring randomly went wild on Tuesday night Dodgers beat the Orioles 10-3 Guardians beat the Pirates 10-1 Padres beat the Blue Jays 9-1 Giants beat the Reds 11-10 Mets beat the White Sox 11-10 DBacks beat the Braves 16-13 Cubs beat the Nationals 17-3 Royals beat the Tigers 11-10 Twins beat the Mariners 10-3 That's 9 games out of 15 (if you don't count the Giants/Reds completing a suspended game as a Tuesday game) The Mets/Cubs/Royals won as home teams. The rest of those games involved road teams winning. Meanwhile the new juiced (allegedly) baseball didn't reach Oakland as the Red Sox lost 3-

The best part about all of that, besides the glorious photos of Jose's glasses flying, is that that was Odor's SECOND time being in a nearly identical brawl like that. Hamhock
If you want to feel even older, the 2023 MLB Draft was almost certainly the final one to draft a player born in the 1900s (18 out of 614 picked; 1 from 1998, 17 from 1999).

Cobra Commander
The Royals/Yankees series was a series with a total run differential of 7 where the Royals never threatened to win any of those 3 games. For all the complaints Yankee fans have, their team looked pretty functional going up against a Royals team that is a mix of uncoached and unmotivated. The Yankees would likely need to play better against teams not being managed by the befuddled dad from a shortlived 80s sitcom. The Royals and Oakland are battling it out for the worst record in baseball and Oakland plays better because the Royals just underperform constantly while the local media is too busy covering the Chiefs and letting the Royals off the hook for having no top 100 prospects, having every player on the team except one be worse than last year, having awful drafts where they play stupid games to not pick the best players so that they can draft high school catchers and pitchers from Connecticut and dudes whose dad was friends with the GM and so on. The GM has been working here for 17 years, the entire front office is the same except for the GM. Players can't find any good consistency since the lineups and orders don't make any consistent sense from day to day. Basically the Royals managed to fire Mike Matheny and become one of the 10 worst teams in the history of baseball. A team that is almost a sure bet to lose 110, if not more. RIPPA
The Nationals swept the Giants over the weekend making it the first time they swept a series since 2021 They swept a 2 game series over Toronto in August 2021 The last time they swept a 3 game series was June 2021
Cobra Commander
the Giants followed up being swept by going to Detroit to make up a game that was postponed in April, they lost that game too. So the Giants are 20-27 in March/April/July and 35-20 in May/June.

RIPPA
The Braves turned an 8-3-5 Triple play last night against the Red Sox It appears the only other time that has happened was in 1884 Quote Center fielder Michael Harris II caught a shallow fly ball from Triston Casas and threw to first after Adam Duvall had strayed too far. The throw easily got Duvall. First baseman Matt Olson then alertly fired the ball across the diamond in plenty of time to get Masataka Yoshida at third after he tagged up and attempted to advance on Duvall's running gaffe. Harris held up his arms and leaped as Austin Riley tagged out Yoshida, who was several steps away from the bag when Olson's throw arrived.
