So I post gifs, knowing it’s hopeless. *sobbing noises*

That's what I've been saying! Also, why is no one mentioning the fact that APPARENTLY SHAQ CAN TELEPORT. The ambulance bit was....strange! The Young Bucks still remain the worst "faces" since Sasha Banks. But, after tonight's commentary, Scorpio Sky is right up there in third place. Overall, another amazingly entertaining show.

My only hesitation: JR is calling her "Riho" and it's really confusing. I was looking for a Riho run-in the entire match. edit: There is no planet that Scorpio is a babyface. It's a wwe-esque heel turn in that he turned heel without actually turning heel. Edited March 4, 2021 by Jiji

GuerrillaMonsoon
I think the Tully stuff they mentioned first time on national TV in 31 years which marries up with Brainbusters dropping the straps to Demolition. Where does the Shaq match rate as far as celebrity matches go? Or even on a Tom Magee miracle match scale? Mayweather still the best. LT marginally better. Can't think of anything else as good. 0.6 Magee.
Web Conn
So much cool shit tonight. Shaq and Cargill vs Cody and Velvet over delivered. Arn JJ and Tully throwing up the 4 on a Turner Network the day Crockett passes on. Onita putting over death matches. That women’s match. Stinger Splash! That main event was dope, AEW top to bottom has a bad ass roster.

Elsalvajeloco
In Rodman's first match, the crowd absolutely lost it because of his ability to do like a clothesline, a leapfrog, and a dropkick. It was INSANE the level of crowd noise.
Niners Fan in CT
what the fuck lol wow this promotion man. i'm watching the opener and Shaq is looking great out the gate.. some great 80's big man shit going on here. Red Velvet was decent. Jade was impressive. We see a Shaq knife powerbomb. THEN Cody and Shaq do a wild table spot. Shaq disappears like The Undertaker.. What did i just watch.. how was this so damn entertaining?! Sign me up for Shaq vs. Paul Wight right now.

Sure, you can argue they really should've had Marko beat Tully but: 1) Marko is not going to be a draw. He could be a neat li'l midcard guy but it's not like they're having 100 year old Tully beat a high quality prospect. And Marko didn't even take the pin. It was dumbass dinosaur, right? 2) Tully. Dude kneed the shit out of him right away. There were a couple moments where he looked a li'l lost with these damn kids planning out a whole fucking match in the back, but that suplex was picture perfect. 3) I'm guessing Tully will eventually put over Marko in the end too. Phantom Lord
I honestly was shocked how well Shaq did last night. I think if they can pull off the Shaq/Big..err Paul Wight match it might be pretty damn amazing. But as set up and telegraphed as the table spot was, I'm still amazed Shaq did it. A thousand things could go wrong for a guy who's never done it before. I also marked out so hard for Tully and FTR wearing the old NWA Title belts. Tully looked like he just got back from a bowling tournament with that shirt he had on and it was awesome. I hope this feud never ends. They could build the first AEW Blood & Guts match around FTR/Spears vs. Jurrassic Express and a partner of their choosing. Ryo vs. Nyla was way better than I thought it would be and I am excited for Ryo vs. Shida. Overall this was a very enjoyable show tonight.

Brian Fowler
I'm guessing Marty has a roughly -25% chance of coming in right now, given that New Japan apparently just got shamed out of using him. I was going to ask before reading this thread is I either missed or forgot about a Scorpio Sky heel turn. That was great heel guest commentary, but god awful for a face. Otherwise, this show was pretty much awesome all the way through.
Steventon
- Vince could never lock Shaq down for a Wrestlemania match, but Tony Khan can get him to commit to a TV match. HMMMMM. Seeing Shaq in the ring was fun and him going through a table a was amusing, but that was a bad match. Cargill needs a lot of work. Velvet is a scrub herself, they really needed a more experienced person in their to carry a green athlete through things - Last week had a bunch of fun squashes. The Fenix/PAC squash was short but they missed almost every kick visibly. Poor. - JJ Dillon was a nice surprise. Nothing warmed by heart more than Tully doing the slingshot suplex on Marko and then pinning Luchasaurus (who once again looked terrible all match). No real interest in Spears with FTR but let's see where they go with this. - "No more BS" seems like an unnecessary shot from a guy who the WWE gave so much to. One legend who has just been signed announcing they have just signed another legend is a questionable move. I am calling RVD as the surprise - Having Starks getting chumped by Sting the show before the PPV was also questionable, especially as I'm calling that as the finish of the match - Closing the go-home show with a segment pushing a tag team battle royale - also questionable
cubbymark
AEW is running the risk of overexposing the casino battle royales. I may be in the minority but AEW is really looking like they’re exploiting Brodie Lee’s son. I get having him on TV for the Brodie tribute show. To me, that should have been the end of it. But every subsequent -1 appearance feels like diminishing returns, and it’s getting more cringe. Maybe I’m wrong.
