odessasteps
Very possible Flair was more popular than Jordan in NC in the early to mid 80s before MJ went to the NBA. Edited January 26, 2020 by odessasteps

Probably, but to be fair to MJ, Flair was an entrenched star in the mid Atlantic area from the mid 70s, while MJ was a Tar Heel for 3 years. Plus playing for North Carolina doesn't necessarily make him beloved throughout the state, given all the in state rivals.

Flair was likely popular in all parts of the triangle, not just chapel hill.
AxB
When K-1 used to be on Eurosport, they had this really bad commentator who knew nothing about anything except Karate. So K-1 was in Vegas for (Sapp vs Kimo) and they showed Michael Jordan at ringside. The commentator misidentified him as Dr Dre. Then they showed actual Dr Dre at ringside, and he said "Oh no, that may indeed be Dr Dre". Most recognisable Athlete on the planet, that. 2

AxB
Has anyone met Seth Rollins? Because if anyone has, how intelligent did he seem in person? His on screen character is that of a cerebral guy, but his social media content strongly implies that he's really not at all any kind of smart guy. Second question (that popped into my head thanks to the first question), can anyone think of a wrestler who was a terrible talker on the indies, who then went to WWE and did those overly scripted promos and it was a massive improvement? Ryan
Side note: Who would think that was KKK related? It's not even white robes. Maybe he posted a negative of the image to be extra racist and super supportive of the KKK!

Seeing Hennig, one of my faves ever, return and get so far was a great moment, I wish he'd stuck around. I kept thinking Mr. Perfect was going to be eliminated and then he stuck around long enough to the point where I talked myself into him winning the damn thing. It was great to see him back and he looked awesome.
Niners Fan in CT
The move in wrestling I hate the most is when one guy is on the apron near the corner or thereabouts and the other guy pulls himself up with the ropes and does a kick to the head. I don't know why everyone does it, Finn Balor is maybe the most popular guy doing it but several indy guys do it and all the crusierweights seem to do it. If you do that move then it just tells me you aren't to be taken seriously. 1

I didn't mind it so much until Excalibur started calling it a Gamangiri every single time anyone hit one, like some kind of verbal tic, glaringly drawing attention to how badly most of AEW overuses it. Ryan
Excalibur calls a lot of moves based on Fire Pro, specifically Super Fire Pro etc, but also from tape watching I'm sure. A kick to the face is a ganmengiri, so he's not wrong.
