So ratings are almost right about where RAW is right now. Hour two at least improved.

I hope Bruce has the stamina for this marathon.

Still above average for the 18-49 demo which is good but they have dropped significantly 3 straight weeks.

“Smackdown is doomed because they expected 1.0s in the money demo”

well looking at that chart, everything airing on Friday night is gonna get canceled for sucking in that demo.

Yeah but NBC isn't spending billions on Dateline.

This just goes to show that old ass looking 1-hour NWA Powerrr on CBS can probably rake in those olds. Who cares if Arm & Hamner, and Denture Cream will be your top sponsors. Thomas Magnum(Young, and old), and the NWA will be laughing all the way to the bank with a stable income.

There might be a ratings niche to being the only network show on Friday nights whose average age isn’t 50+.

as for how much was spent. It seems like networks will drop a lot on live sports purely to try and boost one of their cable channels. See: FOX airing most of the ALCS on FS1

excited to see how the rating on FS1 will be spun as a bad sign too.

Also, was it just me or was there an absolute ASS-LOAD of commercials

Welcome To FOX Sports.

touchdown, commercial break, extra point, commercial break, live read of promo copy, ensuing kickoff, commercial break, pan to celebrity in audience as a promotional tie-in to another show on FOX, 3 and out punt, commercial break, run a play and call a time out, commercial break, injury on the field, commercial break, end of quarter, VERY LONG commercial break, run a play and now it's 4th down again, COMMERCIAL BREAK, come back for the punt and change of possession means another COMMERCIAL BREAK.

FOX is gonna want to bring back six man tags so they can take an ad break between each introduction.  just you wait.

Yeah that's why despite the loss in viewership if the 18-49 can hold on where it's at Smackdown will be fine but with that said I do think it's a bad sign when a show goes from 3.9 million to 2.4 million in two weeks.

You guys are all missing the big picture here.  Smackdown was doing 2 million-ish on USA.  They go to FOX, market the hell out of it, get an additional 2 million plus new viewers to check out what WWE has been up to...and after three weeks, they have kept almost NONE of them.  They are almost EXACTLY back to where they were on USA.  Almost every single person who doesn't watch wrestling and checked out the Smackdown premiere...and came back last week...is gone.

6 million viewers on CBS from 7 to 9 Central, ABC is 3.3M from 7-7:30, and 2.5M from 7:30-9, NBC is around 3M over that time, and FOX was 2.4M.

"I'd love to have a WWE show on network primetime"

*monkey paw closes*

*Smackdown moves to the Friday Night Death Slot*

So yeah, next week is sort of a no-win in a few scenarios. There'll be comparisons between the FS1 ratings and the Wednesday ratings. Even if they beat expectations, there'll be a "see, move the show from Fox to FS1 and bring Tim Allen's show back to Friday Nights" sort of thing too. So there's gotta be a sweetspot for them to avoid both of those things.

Not sure FS1 is strong enough compared to TNT that they'd want to move to FS1 and put the show on Wednesday nights.

All the promotional and marketing for the big move but outside of some new cameras, the show remains exactly the same. This was just dull

That number is going to be irrelevant. The key number will be how many remember to come back two weeks from now. It will be less than 2.44 million.

Oh god, it just occurred to me. You know we are getting a Shorty G/Big E team. Just because it rhymes.

Basically a new Hart Foundation

Love something as much as Ratings Dorks love the 18-49 money demo.

At least the FOX ratings are a strong counter to the people on other sides (reddit) that are pretty committed to the "only old people watch WWE" line

I’d much rather have an Otis/Big E team.

And there will always be an audience for stories about pretty, dead, white girls.

Dateline reporter (and Seinfeld alum) Keith Morrison's voice is captivating man.
