It is also cleared that for big guys at the moment that they are keen on Punishment Martinez (I have spaced on his NXT name) and Dijakovic over Lee

Punishment Martinez strikes me as a tall man more than a big man.  I don't know what his character is supposed to be, but whatever it's supposed to be he's working the hell out of it.  I'm just kind of unimpressed by his ring work so far.  Dijakovic is white Keith Lee.  Big, athletic, and some goofy character that is only a catch phrase.

"Levesque"

?

When referring to him in the business sense, it's always been Paul or Levesque. Not sure why that would be funny now.

Regarding Kushida, man, that's a dude who feels like he's just dead in the water now. That might be my biggest NXT complaint. Far too often the creative there is like, "OOH OOH! SHINY NEW TOY!" and they'll cast all of the other toys aside for 2 to 4 weeks until they get another new toy.

It's like Big Fresh getting a new video game.

I don't follow Meltzer or any of those goofs, so I wouldn't know, but him randomly popping up and namedropping Triple H was hilarious.

Imagine how fresh he would feel and how much attention Kushida would be getting in AEW.

Per Meltzer on the radio show this morning

- Deal is done as said. Talent was told it was going to be announced last night and he hasn't be told why it wasn't. He was told that any announcement had to be cleared by USA first so it is possible they didn't want it announced first.

- They will start at Full Sail. A little unclear it will be live every week or live every other week (most likely live every week). If successful - will probably expand to "larger" venues.

- Everything depends on ratings - if the ratings are bad, expect Roman Reigns on the show every week (Again - that is more a general "the worse the ratings are, the more likely main roster talent will be on the show" not Dave reporting that it will exactly be Reigns on the show)

- Vince will most likely not be at the show but that doesn't mean he won't be involved. Dave figures there is no way Vince and Triple H can be at all three live shows (but all of them are lunatics).

- USA is paying a minimum of $50 million more for WWE to move NXT over so NXT is now officially a profitable brand

Looks like it will stay in Full Sail.

Also, according to an email I just got from WWE:

The new two-hour NXT weekly show will also be available on demand on WWE Network every Thursday night beginning at 8/7C. NXT TakeOver events will continue to stream live exclusively on WWE Network.

How is it going to be live on the USA Network when they have 2 tapings scheduled before September 18 and when they don't have anything scheduled for the 18th?

Punishment's gimmick always struck me as "Guy who watched too much Sons of Anarchy"

Would he current gimmick be "Guy who plays too much GTA The Diamond Casino & Resort"?

Wonder if this means that NXT is going to be on a 1 or 2 month delay on the Network like RAW and Smackdown is currently?

I just got 2 emails from WWE since I have tickets for the September 11 and September 12 tapings.

They said they would allow me to attend the September 18 live taping with my September 11 ticket and the September 25 taping with my September 12 tapings.

@Edwin Since you're there a lot, do you think it's better for the crowd that NXT will only be 2 hours per taping live instead of the 4-ish taped?  Or will that be cancelled out by it being weekly now?

The 2 hour live format will be much better -- it will keep the crowd energy levels up and thus it will come across better on video. Also, since the tapings will end earlier, that'll keep the crowd in full force at the venue instead of a bunch of them walking out early due to the tapings being extended and the next day being a work and school day.

For those of you curious, here's screenshots of the emails I received:

They also have an NXT Live Orlando show scheduled for September 27 and the annual Halloween shows. Not sure how live attendances are going to drift with weekly tapings.
