Dolfan in NYC Posted July 11, 2019 Posted July 11, 2019 Denise Nickerson has died due to complications from a stroke. She was 62. Here's why you know her: 1
J.T. Posted July 11, 2019 Posted July 11, 2019 Violet Beauregarde passed away? Son of a bitch! I am sad now. RIP.
odessasteps Posted July 23, 2019 Author Posted July 23, 2019 RIP David Hedison age 92. Likely best known for Voyage to the bottom of the Sea and the original Fly and being Felix Leiter in live and let die. 1
Jiji Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 He was awesome as the foil to suave 007 in both of his appearances as Leiter. "See you in hell!" was given with some conviction.
The Natural Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 (edited) R.I.P. Rutger Hauer from Blade Runner. Hauer was 75. Edited July 24, 2019 by The Natural 9
The Natural Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 I'll think of Rutger Hauer here in Batman Begins (2005). 2
Execproducer Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 (edited) The Hitcher was my father's favorite movie. Edited July 24, 2019 by Execproducer 3
odessasteps Posted July 24, 2019 Author Posted July 24, 2019 I was half expecting someone to start a separate thread for Rutger. 3
Curt McGirt Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 He sure as hell deserves it. The man was the face of terror in Nighthawks. RIP 4

Curt McGirt Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 and of course there's his surprise appearance at the end of the best, and only truly great, segment in Sin City. Still creeps me out 3

Curt McGirt Posted July 27, 2019 Posted July 27, 2019 Anybody remember Split Second? And also, I completely forgot that Rutger was the big bag in SURVIVING THE GAME. Now THAT is a killer movie. 3
Cliff Hanger Posted July 27, 2019 Posted July 27, 2019 RIP to Russi Taylor, voice of Minnie Mouse, the Duck triplets and Martin Prince 2
Nice Guy Eddie Posted July 28, 2019 Posted July 28, 2019 One of my favorite Rutger Hauer films started as a contest submission for a fake Grindhouse trailer, Hobo with a Shotgun. trailer with Rutger, not the contest trailer 3
J.T. Posted August 4, 2019 Posted August 4, 2019 Quote D. A. Pennebaker, the groundbreaking documentary filmmaker best known for capturing pivotal moments in the history of rock music and politics, including Bob Dylan’s 1965 tour of England and Bill Clinton’s first presidential campaign, died on Thursday at his home in Sag Harbor, N.Y. He was 94. RIP.

Cliff Hanger Posted August 5, 2019 Posted August 5, 2019 RIP to Stu Rosen, animation voice director and creator and host of the early-Nickelodeon staple DUSTY'S TREEHOUSE, which I loved as a small child.
odessasteps Posted August 16, 2019 Author Posted August 16, 2019 (edited) RIP Peter Fonda Edited August 16, 2019 by odessasteps
Robert S Posted August 16, 2019 Posted August 16, 2019 Okay, that is a coincidence. I just finished watching the 60ies episode of The Movies and the very last movie talked about there is Easy Rider, for which Fonda got a nomination for an Oscar for best original screenplay (as well as starring in it).
