Sure he's going to defend ROH. Who the fuck else wants green-ass TK O'Ryan?

Dragging ROH's good name through the mud? I'm sorry, but ROH's good name died when Gabe was fired.

Seems like ROHs biggest problem is people in management for years. I know people say losing the Elite guys really hurt them but, you got MLW and NWA creating loyal fanbase without TV and you go IMPACT still running at in a better position than they were in 6 months ago. It's sad to see ROH in a decline. Just like Pro Wrestling NOAH,  I was a huge fan in their prime I'm always gonna root for them even when I'm not watching closely. I'm glad to know that NOAH is on the rebound. ROH has a nice roster,  I hope they can turn shit around

Marseglia attacked his Kingdom stablemate and bloodied him with an axe.

Taven tried to get up, but Marseglia hit him with the axe again.

Oh shit, they killed Matt Taven?

After an advertisement played, ROH staff was helping Taven up in the ring. He wiped blood off of his head and went to the back.

Never mind.  He got better.

A fuckin' AXE?! Who is Marseglia, was he possessed by the ghost of Jos LeDuc or something?

About the only things I know about Marseglia are that he has a really cool look, and he was trained by SPIKE DUDLEY... and fuckin' Mike Kanellis.

wouldn't be shocked to see Mike Kanellis in ROH leading Vinny against TK and Taven likely starting at Final Battle.   Joe Hendry has  a $$$ gimmick and would be over huge in NXT or AEW.  The singing commentary from Sunday's show was gold.

This week's main event, Rush vs that Simon leGree guy was perfectly fine.  Needs more 8 man tags.

Joey Mercury On When He Quit ROH, Backstage Reactions to His Accusations

Joey Mercury kicked up a hornet’s nest when he went off on Ring of Honor and ROH GM Greg Gilleland, and he’s spoken publicly about the backstage reactions in the company. Fightful spoke with Mercury after he went on Twitter over the weekend to accuse Gilleland of negligence as well as manipulative practices, and Mercury confirmed that he quit the company during the Honor United UK tour and wasn’t released.

Mercury told the site that he quit on “Friday night. Oct 25th. York Hall. I told the boy “you are a stupid motherf**ker, f**k you, & f**k this s**t, I’m done”. Stayed in parking lot for show and completed my (but unassigned to anyone) duty of head counting and being last one on the bus. Back to hotel. C**t told me to take the tour off and didn’t change my travel.”

The site also spoke with several ROH talent and employees, both current and former, about the accusations. Several backed up what Mercury said, saying that there is no staff trainer unless an athletic commission requires it, and the roster is not informed ahead of time about any such details including if there will be a staff, who and where it would be located. Some talent said that ROH’s lack of scouting venues has left the arenas looking empty, with one former wrestler saying that Gilleland prefers to have the LED boards filmed instead of crowds due to the fact that they’re a big part of the production budget. Other former names have said that ROH is unwilling to change how they produce their shows or operate, and one talent said that while they don’t want people to stop watching, the roster needs to be treated better and doesn’t know how to make that happen.

Shane Taylor, who Mercury said Gilleland and ROH didn’t plan to re-sign but hadn’t informed him yet, said, “I haven’t negotiated anything as of yet [with the company]. But all options are on the table.”

Some source did defend Gilleland, with one saying that Mercury’s actions were a “self destruct method” after he got a last chance. Another said that Mercury wasn’t a “good match at this point.” There were also claims that Mercury offered to serve as an agent for talent who opted to get out of their deals with ROH, and could help them get to WWE.

Mercury commented on these, saying, “Go through the tweets Stooges try to frame it as “me off the wagon and removed” then “mutual”. If anything I typed was inaccurate- would it be contested by now? Would there be a talent meeting (Saturday) for peace of mind and morale? Everything is seemingly fine, and it looks like I was the problem. Why would there be a pull to get rid of me? We need a push to be kept? I wish the amazing talent better. More exposure ahead.”

He added that “I typed that I set Flip’s elbow. I have not, nor will I falsely type. No medical. No concussion protocol. No security. Unethical “circus animal treatment” of talent. No empowerment of women. No women on creative. No talent relations. No fair market value pay. Advantageous predatory behavior from upper management. I provide evidence. I quit and then put in for my release. I am not under contract. If I am- they’ve breached.”

“Did I tell talent that they are allowed to know what other places would pay for their services, and ask for more money as an independent contractor? Did I ask if they hate talking to the office? Do they like talking to me better? If they think I could get more money for them? F**K YES.” Mercury said.

In regard to the sources being anonymous, Mercury said, “‘source’ ‘some talent’ I’m Joey. And if anyone don’t like it- I’ll give you my address too. Pussies.”

ROH has not responded to requests for comment.

That last part read wrong would explain the reason for the Maria cuck angle in the WWE 😆

and he's really into horror movies

I like the "Horror King" gimmick, but I wish he were better in the ring. I just can't bring myself to like him. Of course, being stuck with TK O'Ryan as a tag partner isn't going to help.

I think he would work fine as a manager who now and then gets into the ring.

Did their UK tour bomb too? I didn't even know about until a week before the event and I live around the corner from one of the venues! Then I checked the ticket prices and couldn't believe my eyes. Think poor seats were £30. I'd have paid that when I saw McGuinness v Danielson in Liverpool way back when but now? No chance

It is going to be wild - and sad - that guys still with Ring of Honor come Wrestlemania weekend 2020 will likely be going from performing in front of a sold-out MSG crowd to performing in front of less people than whatever IMPACT ends up doing that weekend, or maybe even midlevel Collective and WrestleCon shows, in just one year.

I was at Impact's United We Stand on the first day of WM weekend and one of those mid-level WrestleCon shows, Pancakes & Piledrivers the morning of the G1 @ MSG. They were fun shows and definitely did better numbers than the 200-300 ROH is drawing now. I honestly don't expect ROH to still be running at this time next year. I mostly feel bad for Jay Lethal and the Briscoes for staying loyal to ROH while watching their contemporaries leaving for greener pastures. Yes, Lethal left and went back, but the Briscoes have been there since they returned in early 2006.

200-300 people is like the Murphy Rec Center days back in the beginning.

ROH now airs in Orlando on the former Sunshine Network. Brings me back to the late 90's early 2000s of wrestling on late night on Fridays. Watching this week's show and it's just sad. Mostly clips from the Glory by Honor and one full match PCO/Marty. The little crowd that is there seemed dead for most of the show but got hot for the finish. The money must be really really good for guys to resign here. Also, Is Quinn Mckay supposed to be a parody of the women backstage announcers in WWE or is she really that bad? I'll give her credit that she's not as wooden just awkward.

If you believe Joey Mercury (and I do), the money isn't very good for Kelly Klein. I wouldn't be surprised if she eventually showed up in AEW since her husband, BJ Whitmer works for them in a behind the scenes role. The money must be good enough for Lethal and the Briscoes to keep staying, and for PCO rumored to be re-signing.

Money isn't good, but honestly she is rather bad and you probably could ask if she really should be earning more than that for the amount of dates that she does.

She could work at a grocery store full time and make the same amount of money or more than she currently is.

That's downright unacceptable for a company that's owned by a multi-million dollar media corporation. They have $10 billion to buy Fox Sports Networks, but not to pay their women a living wage?

The next ROH live event is 12-13. which means she's making $2,000 to not do a dang thing, technically. If she worked a WWE schedule for $25,000 a year, that'd be a travesty. As it stands, she's overpaid.

I'm watching this week's TV now (I guess) and I'm a whopping 51 and have been watching wrestling since I was 6-7. That ref bump in the match highlights between Kelly Klein and Angelina Love was positively the silliest thing I can recall seeing in a wrestling ring. You have to have enough pride as an organization for the ref to stand back up and say "OK, let's try it again."

Please don't take this as sexist, honestly, but if those are two of the best you can snag,. would'nt it be better to have no women's wrestling at all? Or have we gotten to the place in pro wrestling where if you have pro wrestling, you have to have women's pro wrestling no matter how awful the women's wrestling is?

A recent broken arm won’t keep Jay Lethal from competing at ROH Final Battle in December. ROH has revealed that Lethal, who broke his arm in late October at ROH Honor United, will be teaming up with Jonathan Gresham to take on The Briscoes for the ROH World Tag Team Championships.

The updated card for the show is:

* ROH World Championship Match: RUSH vs. PCO
* ROH World Tag Team Championship Match: The Briscoes vs. Jay Lethal and Jonathan Gresham
* Street Fight: Bully Ray vs. Mark Haskins (w/Vicky Haskins)

He immediately becomes the best guy they have on the roster.  At least until it Sinclair finally mercy kills this promotion.

This week's main event was good.  I didn't understand Brody King hitting PCO for Scurl, but I dug the dynamicism of PCO.  And yeah, that ref bump during the women's match was one of the worst things I've seen on TV wrestling.  Yeesh.
