Niners Fan in CT
Steelbook came in. Cover art is pretty cool. It's basically all the remaining Avengers lined up getting ready for battle. It's not as cool as the Infinity War art but it's good nonetheless.

Contentious C
Maybe he's the Captain Jack Harkness of the MCU: a fixed point in time. A very angry, vindictive, petty, awful fixed point in time. Also now I have the thought in my head of John Barrowman and J.K. Simmons making out, and it's pretty hilarious.
The Natural
Great twist and scene, Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017).
The Unholy Dragon
Sony just pulled Spider-man from the MCU going forward. Disney wanted half the profits and Sony told them to piss off. Gonna be interesting to see how they deal with that.
Raziel
Disney moves on, handwaves him away. At least the next couple films down the line wouldn't mention Peter. Sony's proper fucked, though.
John from Cincinnati
Is that it for Tom Holland? Or could Sony keep him on?
Craig H
It really sucks because Far From Home did a beautiful job of passing the torch from Tony to Peter... And now it's all fucked up.

So presumably they could carry on from Homecoming and FFH, but without ever mentioning any characters or events that aren't solely Spidey related? That might not be the best fit. Can they do Kingpin, or is he still Vincent D' Onofrio?

None of the Netflix shows are probably considered cannon even by Marvel Studios.
Niners Fan in CT
It would suck if this happens but that said Into the Spiderverse is the best Spider-Man movie ever made and it was a Sony production.
Craig H
Into the Spiderverse was Sony Animation and Columbia Pictures.

Casey
Sounds like Feige might have had a hand in Into the Spider-Verse possibly.

Craig H
I mean, I'd be down for Venom being in the Guardians of the Galaxy. The Venom voice and Tom Hardy freaking out would fit in well. Plus, you know, the whole comics connection too.
Niners Fan in CT
I thought Hardy was great. Movie was ehhh but Hardy and the "voice" were cool.

Casey
Statement from Sony: Quote Much of today’s news about Spider-Man has mischaracterized recent discussions about Kevin Feige’s involvement in the franchise. We are disappointed, but respect Disney’s decision not to have him continue as a lead producer of our next live action Spider-Man film,” A Sony spokesperson said. “We hope this might change in the future, but understand that the many new responsibilities that Disney has given him – including all their newly added Marvel properties – do not allow time for him to work on IP they do not own. Kevin is terrific and we are grateful for his help and guidance and appreciate the path he has helped put us on, which we will continue.

Brian Fowler
Side note: A sightly extended version of Far From Home is going to hit theaters. 4 extra minutes in an action scene.
The Natural
The shit news that Spider-Man's out of the MCU reminds me of this drawing years ago. I'm glad Spider-Man, THE Marvel character was part of the MCU for the interactions between chatacters. It's a shame that's no longer the case. I expected Sony going Sony plus the success of Venom (2018) and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018). This development hasn't gone down well.
