Craig H
My god, Kyle Schwarber is a freak of nature.
The Man Known as Dan
Remember when everyone thought the Cubs made a mistake drafting him at 4? Good times.
Craig H
I honestly don't. I remember it being regarded as a good pick in line with Theo and Jed's methodology, which was to take the best college bat available. I think the biggest question was where they would place him because he's not a good catcher, he's not a bad catcher, and he hasn't had much experience anywhere else in the field. 6 for 8 now and we'll see how well he does with the rest of this game and then the series in Minnesota. The joke among Cubs fans has been what happens if Schwarber hits 25 for 25. At his current rate though, it could be some freakish number he ends with, but he'll still wind up in AAA. Kid needs to learn either LF or needs to step up his game behind the plate.

ChesterCopperpot
All joking aside - great pitching from RA Dickey last night considering his dad died on Tuesday night. He was placed on the bereavement list after the game.

Joe Lucia
I do love that A-Rod did something (homered for 3k) that Jeter was absolutely lauded for when he did it. Peak hilarity

Pettitte was a homegrown Yankee and part of the late 90s-early 2000s dynasty, so it was a little easier to forgive him.

Nice Guy Eddie
I have said this before but A-Rod should have gotten busted sooner. The year off totally rejuvenated him He should give Bud Selig a shout out and thank him in his post game interview. Sure, he lost $25 million last year, but it's not like Alex isn't filthy fucking rich.

hammerva
Max Scherzer for the 2nd start in a row has gone 7 innings of perfect baseball. I am sure it is happened many times but probably not recently. hammerva
And Max loses the perfect game by hitting the batter on a 2-2 count. Thanks to a little leaning in by Tabatha. Don't see that often but he still gets a no hitter.
