Cobra Commander Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 a Fast Lane match. Where you have to beat your opponent so bad that he's still down when you complete walking up the Fast Laaaaaaaaaannnneee (aka the entrance ramp) 1
Casey Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 So it's like a Stretcher Match. With an entrance ramp that looks like a road. NASCAR match!
Cobra Commander Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 no no, the Nascar match is a match where the first competitor to run around the ring 90 times wins and I will say Fast Lannnnnnnne in a Vince McMahon announcer voice because America.
AxB Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Anyone else notice that weird little off hand comment about how the Authority was planning Rusev/Cena for WM, but it is being moved up to Fastlane? I'm starting to think we get Bryan/Cena at WM now. Winner gets both bellas? But Bryan already had both Bellas. He dumped them for Gail Kim. A long time ago. 1
Big Fresh Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 So do all the wrestlers then have to sleep over at WWE Headquarters tonight? Film that shit and put it on the Network!
RIPPA Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 I'm pretty sure there is a hotel within walking distance of HQ With something that big and with the amount of out of town folks who fly in and out - I wouldn't be surprised if it is on the premises.

MonteCarl Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Speaking of the Chamber, what a bad year to get rid of that PPV/concept. It would be such an easy way to fix this Roman Reigns problem. The Authority are dicks, don't like Reigns, and they mandate that he has to put his title shot on the line in the Elimination Chamber. They can then pick/choose from 5 other guys to go against Brock at Mania. Tell me an Elimination Chamber match with Bryan/Ziggler/Cena/Rusev/Wyatt/Reigns with the Mania shot against Lesnar on the line wouldn't sell

They don't want those three near the title. From a booking standpoint you don't want Rusev's first pin/submission loss to occur on a random PPV
JohnnyJ Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 I just don't see what sells Roman v Lesnar as a mania main event. Lesnar just survived bomb after bomb thrown by Cena and Rollins. He's been built as unstoppable. What reason is their to believe that Reigns even belongs in Lesnars league other than the brass is behind him?
Zheroen Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Roman is now equipped with the Brass Ring, which gives his Superman Punch +5 and an elemental effect that target's Brock's weakness - deer meat. 1
Raziel Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Lies. Brock's weakness is steel steps. Which he may have overcome, now that I rewatch that match again.
ebbie Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 So the knee jerk reaction karma strikes again! Why is it when something goof happens, Vince gets ignored but something you don't like happens and everyone is ready to ship Vince off to the old folks home? I honestly think Reigns is the best promo guy out of the Shield. He's had some fucking awful promos, but he's proven that less is more. And his presence and look, he can make everyone go 'uh nevermind.' In thinking he can't bring the intrigue. Really makes me wish they put him with guys who would've forced him to step up his badassery in the ring like Barrett or Cesaro instead of slugs like Orton and the Big Show. Rollins talks every damn show and hasn't had a memorable or noteworthy promo yet. And Dean's shtick is either really neat or fucking stupid. I'm in the latter group. 1
Ramsey Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Back to Roman's move set. Give him an over head belly-to-belly suplex BUT have him debut it during the Mania match against the fucking suplex wrecking machine. Knowing how Brock can sell anything and make it look amazballs because, well, he's Brock, it would pop the shit out the house and add some much needed bad-ass cred to Roman. Then, as Roman moves on, it stays in his move set like a notch on his belt.
Ramsey Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Also, I heartily endorse the idea of Bryan vs. Rollins at Mania. Give them 20 minutes and stand the fuck back.
bink_winkleman Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Yeah, Cena/Rusev getting moved to Fastlane reeked of a last minute contingency plan involving Cena "saving" Mania. Which is super lame, because Cena/Rusev and HHH/Sting is the only stuff they have that looks worth a shit.
muhammedboehm Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Why does everyone think that Cena/Rusev on fast lane means it won't be on Mania also?
Ramsey Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 I'm more concerned with why anyone wants to see Sting and HHH. Don't get me wrong, while I'm no huge fan of Trips, I know he's been a decent worker for years. However, I doubt Sting can even be carried these days. The match has Scott Steiner level suck potential. The only thing worth seeing would be his entrance. 1
bink_winkleman Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 I want to see that match more for the spectacle than the work. As for Cena/Rusev, I do think it could go both PPVs, but by having the ability to run it early, they can move Cena to something else if need be.

Where are all those great Rusev matches I seem to have missed?

Ramsey Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 I get the Rusev love, I really do. I also think that he's been booked better than most over the last few months AND he might the best seller on the roster right now. I think Rusev/Cena has loads of potential to be very good.
JohnnyJ Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Rusev has a very high wrestling iq. He looks likes he belongs. Given Cenas track record of dragging average matches out of broomsticks I'm not worried at all. Rusev and Reigns are light years apart right now. Reigns hasn't even shown he can have a compelling singles match. I have no idea what HHH v. Sting is going to look like. I get why they are doing it. It sounds like a big match, especially to the casuals on the fence. Best case scenario is it's an interference filled spot fest where Sting has to do as little as possible. 1
MonteCarl Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 I'm also not sure, why people are putting high hopes into Cena/Rusev. Where are all those great Rusev matches I seem to have missed? The match with Ryback from last week's SD was quite great, despite a shitty count-out finish

And I'm looking forward to Sting vs Triple H. I don't expect it to be great, but it doesn't really matter to me. I've been waiting to see him in a WWE ring for 14 years, and as long as he gets a cool entrance and hits all his signature spots, I'll be happy.
