Ace Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 Well fuck that may be a good thing, did any house show ever make a single dollar? When Jarrett and Don West ran them, yes.
Brian Fowler Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 As I recall, they used to make a bunch on money from merch sales when Don West was the guy hawking products.
greenbat Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 That production people not getting paid was recycled from months ago. But who's counting. In recent history TNA almost had their production crew go on strike over not getting paid. In related news Christopher Daniels said last year during Christmas they were weeks behind on pay and ruined his holidays. Better? 1
jaedmc Posted September 21, 2014 Author Posted September 21, 2014 I really hope you guys aren't being little shits to each other, because whatever I do next will be permanent.
greenbat Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 I really hope you guys aren't being little shits to each other, because whatever I do next will be permanent. We're simply examining all angles of an ongoing story in the world of professional wrestling and journalism, boss.
Matt D Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 WWE should hire him to be commissioner of SD.
Brian Fowler Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 WWE should hire him to be commissioner of Saturday Morning Slam [\b] FTFY 1
Spontaneous Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 WWE should never acknowledge Kurt Angle again until his untimely passing because he is a ticking time bomb. I see people clamoring for Rusev-Angle or Brock-Angle. Do they want him dead?
cool arrow Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 I wouldn't mind Rusev squashing Angle in 2 or 3 minutes. 1
EN090 Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 WWE should never acknowledge Kurt Angle again until his untimely passing because he is a ticking time bomb. I see people clamoring for Rusev-Angle or Brock-Angle. Do they want him dead? Funny, that's what everyone said about Angle when he first signed with TNA. He was for sure going to kill himself working with guys like Joe and Styles. That was 8 years ago. I'd like to see Angle end up in WWE. Maybe have a few matches and end up with a HOF induction and a DVD. I could see him being a commentator too. 1
Overly Critical Man Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 The stuff Angle did to himself in TNA was arguably worse than the stuff he did in WWE. It seemed like he was missing a cage moonsault every other week sometimes.
nate Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 I really hope you guys aren't being little shits to each other, because whatever I do next will be permanent. It says right there in Mike Z.'s pic, "the Uni-FRIEND." 1
E.J. Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 I'd rather see Angle in WWE just for his well-being. He'd be a good addition to the pre-show/post-show team, and at least there would be people there to keep an eye on him.
Hollywood Cibernetico Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 Angle has been running the shoot version of Ziggler's gimmick for years. Angle will feel he has something to 'prove' and will want to go toe-to-toe with guys like Cena, Lesnar, Rollins, Wyatt, etc. I can see Angle being hurt within 2-3 months of his WWE return and then being out for the rest of the year. If WWE wants to continue to strengthen the importance of The Network- put Angle on NXT.
BEN! Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 Panda is the majority owner. TNA is a separately run LLC. Payments are frequently late because TNA's front office doesn't have its shit together. So just to be clear, TNA taped all their TV shit that'll run until the current deal with Spike is over and then fired all the production staff until they figure out what the next move is? "Sent home" not "fired", but yeah, most of them aren't getting paid anymore this year. Are they also not having house shows anymore? Not that it matters I guess. No more house shows this year because of slow to no ticket sales because TNA doesn't do any kind of promotion because Dixie is too narrow-focused on having a TV show.
nate Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 What are the best of those "One Night Only" cards? I'd consider picking up one or two.
The Nature Boy Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 It would be classic TNA for Kurt Angle to show up tonight at Night of Champions while there is still several months of TV to air and no one around to edit him out.
E.J. Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 I'm pretty sure TNA would actually LOVE that.
Casey Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 If Angle DID return to WWE, I really really really doubt they'd let him wrestle again. I'd like to see him be the Commissioner or something when the Authority angle inevitably ends.
The Nature Boy Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 I'd want Kurt Angle managing his own stable, taking the "Team Angle" concept from like 10 years ago and using it to its fullest extent.
CanadianChris Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 Tonight, Angle debuts on RAW and leads The NXT 5 to attack Lesnar and start The New New Generation.
Dewar Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 Give Angle his mini sherriff's hat back, and sign him up. No matches, just a bi-monthly skit to make me laugh. That's all I want.
