odessasteps
I wonder if he gets a "in memory of" graphic on SD
rainmakerrtv
I still held out hope he'd get one more big run in North America. RIP Big Daddy V
J.T.
RIP, Nelson. Hopefully he gets some In Memoriam love before Smackdown this Friday. Big Vis had the best entrance theme ever. DAT BASS~!
Brian Fowler
He's another of those guys that got a big push when he wasn't very good, but then later improved a lot in ring, after the company had moved on from seeing him as anything special. cool arrow
No idea if it's still there, but there used to be a picture on Lawler's site of Viscera, complete with the peroxide mohawk and contact lenses, but totally out of character, with the biggest, most genuine smile on his face. I always liked that pic.
Skelemania
EDIT: Well, the guy made the video private, sorry. This is what I always remember. His damn dinner order from his date with Trish!
cool arrow
He'd just had his birthday on Valentine's Day, too. That makes me sad.
sabremike
My favorite memory of him is from a Raw after the whole Lita/Edge/Matt Hardy happened. Lita was facing Trish, and everyone there was hating Lita. When Viscera came out with Trish, the crowd started a huge "Let's Go Mabel" chant. Still cracks me up to this day thinking about it. Kaptain Kayfabe
It's a shame he had the Mabel/"World's Largest Love Machine" stigma on him, because Big Daddy V was awesome. Like if he would have come along at a slightly different time (and without the baggage) he would have been a main eventer for a long while. Victator
From when I first saw him in 1993 til he left WWE in 2008, Viscera was one of my favorite wrestlers. Men On A Mission squashes were great. They had a lot of cool double teams that did a great job maximizing his size. He had great looking offense where everything he did looked like a finisher. The only guy who had a belly to belly suplex in his league was Yoko himself. I always appreciated how you could put him anywhere on the card and it worked. He could lose to Val Venis on Heat and toss around the Big Show on Raw and he was credible. I had a chance to meet him last year and I passed on it, I wish now I had found the money and went to the show. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x3nfis_val-venis-vs-viscera_newsThis is a Heat match from 1999 and is a good back and forth TV match. They had a much better match in 2006, but I apparently was too dumb to upload it to Dailymotion. I can't find it online and it is in a random data disc. Vis tosses Show around and looks credible doing it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z4BwzzdYVwcSkip to the halfway point for the match. Vis has such great offense, that is perfect for cutting off Cena's comebacks. Jerry Lawler always puts over Vis, no matter his position on the card. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xpv4b_wwf-raw-ken-shamrock-vs-king-mabel_sportI remember being so happy when Mabel turned up and beat up Ken Shamrock. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xjyldc_british-bulldog-and-lex-luger-vs-men-on-a-mission_sportBulldog getting Mabel up on his shoulders was crazy and he did a great job selling it. Vis killing Simon Dean and Maven respectively. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x4oo2b_mitb-08-qualifying-match-cm-punk-vs_news?search_algo=1TV match with Punk that is really good and Punk gets Vis up long enough to tease the GTS. I really wanted him to win the ECW belt in 07.I am really going to miss him.
cool arrow
I remember watching this match with very low expectations and being shocked at how good it turned out to be. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xmuyi1_men-on-a-mission-vs-savio-vega-razor-ramon_sport

Ziggy
So if he was going to my WWF Champion after KOtR 95, he would've been the Youngest WWE champion even at this point and the first Black WWF Champion. That wouldve been groundbreaking.
elizium
Went to a Mick Foley show tonight, he told a cute story about Vis (I think he put it on his facebook too). Apparently his kids were obsessed with Big Daddy V and put drawings of him all over the family fridge.
ChuckScumm
I wish I still had the polaroid I took with him, after I saw him wrestle the Road Dogg(with special ref Billy Kidman) at some indy show at a casino in 1999.
Victator
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XYCxewQpIYMThe finish blew me away when I saw it in 1999.
cool arrow
It's still pretty damned impressive. Incidentally, I read somewhere that Vis worked for TNA during the weekly PPV era, but after consulting both Cagematch and Wrestlingdata, I can't find anything. Sky Blue Sam
I'm not convinced he had a match for them, but he did show up as an associate of Ron Killings for a week or so
The Great ML
He showed up at the end of a show as a runin on the main event. I don't think he was mentioned again.

I wonder what happened. Usually they had the surprise runin at the end, which led to a match the next week, and then they were gone.
T.Rex-n-effeckx
Sir Mo ran Southern Extreme Championship Wrestling (I think it was called Rawkus Rassling before that ) in Tn and it was one of my favorite things to get fourth generation tapes of back in the day. I was oddly stoked about the possibility of the Harlem Knight v Pittbulls matches among other things. Jack Johnson (the commentator who often shared the booth with Mabel) has put bits and pieces of it up and it's really fun to listen to the two of them calling matches. Kevin Wilson
He showed up at the end of a show as a runin on the main event. I don't think he was mentioned again. Huh. Weird. I wonder what happened. Usually they had the surprise runin at the end, which led to a match the next week, and then they were gone. He came in after the main event with Ron Killings on the 3/26/03 show and gave Christopher Daniels the Viscera Driver. On the next show, Viscera came out in Killings match against Elix Skipper and did the same to Skipper, but then Killings didn't wrestle the next few weeks and had a newish storyline when he came back (forming 3 LIve Kru) so they probably just decided to stop using him because of that. Apparently his kids were obsessed with Big Daddy V and put drawings of him all over the family fridge. That explains Noelle's obsession with nipples.
