AxB Posted November 1, 2023 Posted November 1, 2023 UK people, remember that although our clocks went back last weekend, America's didn't. So for this one week, the gap is an hour less than usual. Dynamite is at midnight UK time, not 1am. 1

Bravo to you on having the self control to only list Bryan seven times! 3
Curt McGirt Posted November 1, 2023 Posted November 1, 2023 Speaking of Bryan, Matt reminded me on Segunda that we don't know exactly when he got injured -- it could've even been from the Andrade match and his crazy ass was just working through it to give the finish some icing on top. It'd be fun to ask him and see if he just grins that grin of his and says nothing, or takes the opportunity to lie yet again.

Well, he couldn't list Dark because 1) the Aaron Solo match wasn't that good and 2) the other match wasn't Bryan Danielson, it was INFINITO! 1
Zakk_Sabbath Posted November 1, 2023 Posted November 1, 2023 Lots of interesting food for thought here from Wade: https://www.pwtorch.com/site/2023/10/31/keller-i-hope-that-tony-khan-had-ten-important-announcements-tomorrow/ 1 1
Casey Posted November 1, 2023 Posted November 1, 2023 I stopped reading when he suggested to end Collision. 4 1
TheVileOne Posted November 1, 2023 Posted November 1, 2023 Tony Khan is getting desperate with these big announcements

Yeah, that one was hella silly, and there are probably a number of contractual and ad-revenue based reasons why that would be a non-starter - but I did think he made some other excellent (if not fairly obvious) points, like streamlining the number of active championships, or shuttering ROH (though I think I'm more an advocate for stronger separation from AEW, and a stronger push for a home somewhere in the larger WBD ecosystem, as opposed to HonorClub - even if that means rebranding as AEW Ring of Honor) 1
The Natural Posted November 2, 2023 Posted November 2, 2023 Said the following before, AEW needs to upload some full matches on YouTube like WWE and ROH does. 2

Cobra Commander Posted November 2, 2023 Posted November 2, 2023 would it get somebody busted for false advertising if some AEW babyface used Woo Energy to spark their firey comeback? it's been long enough, we can do the Panama Lewis black bottle ending for a match now.
Zimbra Posted November 2, 2023 Posted November 2, 2023 This sucks and I really don't see the upside for AEW. 15

Cobra Commander Posted November 2, 2023 Posted November 2, 2023 when was the last time that Ric Flair was under a wrestling company contract that wasn't essentially a de facto pension because they don't want him to die penniless? 2

odessasteps Posted November 2, 2023 Posted November 2, 2023 (edited) Who outlives the other, Flair or the promotion? Is the next Wembley show before or after Sting retires? They could have the final match in 2 different promotions. Edited November 2, 2023 by odessasteps
TheVileOne Posted November 2, 2023 Posted November 2, 2023 24 minutes ago, peterien said: But why? According to Fightful's report, AEW sources said the main motivation was merchandising opportunities with Ric Flair, including general merch, video games, and action figures. 2
For Great Justice Posted November 2, 2023 Posted November 2, 2023 Struggling to find a worthwhile use for Flair. Maybe as head of the “Championship Committee”, presenting the title to champions after big wins and announcing future marquee title matches. Similar to what they did with Bret Hart That isn’t what they’ll do though. 1

Do you know something about either one that we don't know? Moreover, I am not sure someone puts there money on someone who has multiple serious health scares in a short span. That's kinda stacking the deck on one side, right?
odessasteps Posted November 2, 2023 Posted November 2, 2023 It’s not like they even have rights to his footage, except maybe for NJPW stuff TK could license from them.
