colonial Posted March 20, 2023 Posted March 20, 2023 Seeing some talk online that one of this year's WWE HOF inductees will be a referee, which would be the first time a full-time ref would receive the honor. If that's the case, would it be Earl Hebner getting the nod? Going back to Mick Foley saying "one of this year's inductees" wanted to introduce them, I'd have to think Hebner is the choice given his role as referee in so many Attitude Era main events. Others I thought were Mike Chioda (given his longevity in the WWE), Charles Robinson (he'd probably request Flair to induct him) and Danny Davis (who I'd get a kick out of as this year's "novelty induction.")
odessasteps Posted March 21, 2023 Posted March 21, 2023 It won't Rita Marie, unless that was part of her settlement. In theory, I'd put Tommy Young in before Hebner, but not if it was the WWE HOF.
GuerrillaMonsoon Posted March 21, 2023 Posted March 21, 2023 Given the Hebners got fired for selling WWE merchandise without permission and were part of that concussion lawsuit, I'd be surprised if it was him. 1

hammerva Posted March 21, 2023 Posted March 21, 2023 Since it seems that they hyping up the "respected by everyone" thing, the only answer I can think of Tim White. Although I actually thought he was already in the Hall of Fame. 3
Pete Posted March 21, 2023 Posted March 21, 2023 Dick Kroll maybe? Headline ref at MSG for decades, third man for countless title matches, even reffed main events in other territories during his salad days.
Marcel Posted March 21, 2023 Posted March 21, 2023 (edited) Tim White was my first thought. They trashed his bar a lot of times for skits and would pay to fix the damage. Given that he passed away last year, might be a big thing for his Family as well. Edited March 21, 2023 by Marcel 4
DragonZombie Posted March 22, 2023 Posted March 22, 2023 (edited) Kaito of NOAH will be accompanying Muto in USA, when Muta gets inducted in the WWE HOF. https://www.tokyo-sports.co.jp/articles/-/257870 Edited March 22, 2023 by Red King 1
twiztor Posted March 23, 2023 Posted March 23, 2023 (edited) Nick Patrick is my referee GOAT and i would like to see him inducted. if Lawler inducts Kauffmann, i hope he wears that awesome "king" outfit from the Letterman appearance. re: celebrities, i think LT (edit: Lawrence Taylor) and Rodman should both be in if they aren't already. zendragon Posted March 23, 2023 Posted March 23, 2023 I was thinking Tim White Bo to the respected by everyone comment, I recall he came out of retirement to officiate Jericho v HHH by special request 1
RIPPA Posted March 24, 2023 Author Posted March 24, 2023 In the new WON - Meltzer confirmed that Lawler had been trying to get Kaufman into the HOF for years Dave figures if Lawler isn't healthy enough to do the induction - it will probably be Jimmy Hart (he also suggested Bill Apter but I can't imagine that will happen) 3

Dave is assuming this is the person Mick Foley is inducting (Dave did make sure to say he wasn't reporting that but giving his guess) she's just reappeared on social media for the first time in years the last few days. good timing 1
Dolfan in NYC Posted March 27, 2023 Posted March 27, 2023 Dolfan presents... "WHY STACY KEIBLER SHOULD BE IN THE HALL OF FAME, A TWO PARAGRAPH ESSAY" The statue in question. 3
