Brian Fowler
Watched the first six episodes, and Christ the plot is way more fucking generic than I ever expected.

Fat Spanish Waiter
Fowler is trolling us for constantly mocking his Buffy love. Jesus I just got a flashback to having a MUFFY THE POON SLAYER wallpaper on my old cellphone. That would have been a Nokia 402 or worse. Black and white. 20pixels total. Daaaaaamn
Fat Spanish Waiter
I wanna go back to the early 2000s man, life was better then.
Brian Fowler
Seriously, every bit of this plot this far is in every cop movie made in the 70's. The acting is fine, but nothing special, the dialog is functional but that's about it... It's competently made generic cop show.

LooseCannon
Brian Fowler, are you black? Because I have been led to believe that it is mainly white people who love The Wire.
Brian Fowler
Lily white. I do think a show about Bubbles would have been much better.
Reed
A terminally ill chemistry teacher teams with a former student to manufacture crystal meth to secure his family's future. I always loved how the Netflix description of Breaking Bad seems to back up Walt's version of things.

Brian Fowler
9 in, and it's growing on me, but it's still just in that decent to good range, nothing above that.

Antacular
By far the best CC show in years. Easily my current favorite stand up.

I know this is a joke, but the first season of Buffy is always tag it with a hard "I promise it gets better" sale. It does and I'm a fan, but boy the production was so low rent in the beginning. Brian Fowler
There are a couple of great episodes in season 1, but it's rough. Why I'm more than willing to keep chugging along with The Wire, because some shows take awhile to find themselves. Buffy in mid season 2 suddenly became the best show in years in either direction (just ask David Simon )
piranesi
Fuck all that. Book scanned Robot Lawnmower man demon was rad. Like when that one kid said "If you're not JACKED INTO THE NET YOU'RE NOT ALIVE!!!!!!" God, 1997 was like the best moment.
Johnny Sorrow
A soul crushing examination of Baltimore and the drug war pretty much kills stupid fucking Vampires with cute chicks and bad jokes.
Tabe
Is Brian stealing Tabe's gimmick? Gimmick infringement all up in this bitch. Taking advantage of me being on vacation.
Tabe
"On a scale of 7 to 7 with THE SHIELD being 7 and DEXTER being 7, I give THE WIRE a 7." This may be the funniest thing I read all day. Take a bow, sir. I completely agree.
RandomAct
So with the first season of Almost Human over, I have to say that there are too many holes in the plot. That could be from the network airing out of order, but it seems like there are so many ideas and stories that either got stopped halfway, or started out of nowhere. I love the show, but it could be so much better with some better attention to detail. In the finale, it was all about Kennex's dad, but I don't recall them EVER mentioning that his dad was a cop before. Stuff like that bugs me. Travis Sheldon
Survivor finally sent crazy home. Even though I know he won't win. but I'm pulling for Cliff Robinson after he pulled a win out for his sandbagging team.
