I don’t know if the blowoff needs to be for the strap per se. Put the belt on Swerve at Dynasty start building towards Swerve vs Ospreay at All In Texas and let Mox and Cope do their thing without the World Championship.

AEW is loaded with talent. I watched last night for the first time in weeks it’s a fun show with some stellar wrestling but Mox and Cope shouldn’t be feuding over the belt. It feels really HHH vs Shawn just going on forever. The crowd was super into Will and Swerve is over as Fuck. Make those two the focus of the show and see if things start to turn around.

Also I like the idea of MJF joining The Hurt Business. MJF hinted during the Adam Cole angle that he has a hard time letting people in. It’d be nice character development that after he made a friend and then realized Cole was using him if he joined The Hurt Business and gradually become legit friends with the guys.

I'd rather see Jon Moxley vs. Darby Allin, Jon Moxley vs. Hangman Adam Page than Jon Moxley vs. Will Ospreay at All In. I can't see Mox losing the AEW World Championship till then.

I get not liking Will, but from a ticket and PPV selling point of view do you think he’d do more of both than Darby? I’m a big Ospreay guy obviously, but I do agree I’d rather see Hangman win the belt off of Mox. Plus I think Hangman should be their top draw anyhow.

Funny, last night I was scrolling through my Facebook feed and there was something from a wrestling page where they were doing an interview with Max and asking if he actually liked anyone else in AEW and (he was working I imagine) he said "No... well, I tolerate Taz", saying he "says he's from Red Hook but he's a Long Island dude, he's been in Long Island longer than in Red Hook" and that they commiserated about delis and diners and such.

I think Darby Allin would more with his AEW tenure longer than Will Ospreay and he has a greater connection with the fans imo. For a while I thought Allin should be the one to beat Jon Moxley for the AEW Championship, still do then Hangman Adam Page and Swerve Strickland third. Honestly I'd take Ospreay over Mox.

Cope will have to cope with doing a job next week.

THAT DOESN'T WORK FOR THE COPESTER BROTHER!  WHAT WE NEED IS BROTHER BRUTI CHRISTIAN INTERFERING, IN DRAG, AND MOX PINS HIM DUDE!

MVP recruiting MJF is awesome because it shuts up all the unimaginative folks who can't see past The Nation of Domination, and continually speculate on which black wrestler MVP will recruit next.

Now I really want to see an angle where MJF agrees to join but misreads the whole situation and shows up in a dashiki or dressed like Ali G.

Megan Bayne poses so much she probably has like 12 finishers stored and ready to go.

A loaded Dynamite this week! Hecechero! Speedball!

Megan Bayne went for Timeless One, just as I predicted!

The Prodigy found his balls and questioned Christian's stupid strategy and convoluted lies!

The Opps are on the way to challenging for the Trios titles and that's gonna rule!

MJF and MVP with an interesting back and forth. Also, Hangman and MJF aren't done yet! Awesome! This is like Tully and Magnum TA, if BOTH Tully and Magnum were actually good!

Willow with her first win over Penelope. Stat really trying to get back to Willow's good graces but they BOTH got steamrolled by The Megasus!

Billie Starkz vs Mercedes next week? Athena might show up due to this, you never know?

Mox-Cope rematch? Yeah, they certainly could use the street fight as a crutch as they get a second chance to make a first impression. Remember Cena vs JBL at Wrestlemania 21? They had the match they should have had there at the following Judgment Day. So, this could be that. Of course, this will probably be overbooked to hell and back, hopefully in the good way.

Bring on Kenny vs Ricochet and Ricochet vs Speedball!

Bailey vs Mortos was a great way to debut Speedball because those two have great matches and it didn't burn through any of the "first time" matches available to Bailey in AEW!

With Swerve, Christian, Cope, MJF, White, Jarrett (remember?), Hangman and now Ospreay gunning for the World title, you'd think Mox is about to be in deep shit one of these days, hopefully sooner than All In, but you never know...

If Swerve wins the title then Ospreay winning the Owen to get a shot at Swerve at All In would be lame. Swerve and Hangman are the closest they have to Macho/Hogan, Bret/HBK, Austin/Rock, etc. If you have your biggest show ever in the states then I think you need to run with Swerve vs Hangman for the title at All In.

You can still do Moxley vs Darby. It doesn't need to be for the title. It can be the final nail in the coffin for the whole DR angle. Hell, you could do a coffin match where it's the death of the DR vs the death of Darby's career on the line.

I love the Speedball debut. Looked great and the finish was killer. I'm guessing Ricochet wins the shot at Omega, but I definitely look forward to a future Speedball/Omega match and the ending had me anticipating a Speedball/Orange match.

I'm sad that Jarrett just kind of disappeared after losing to Claudio like his story just ended.  I like Ospreay winning the Owen and headlining all In, but I hope Jarrett still finds a way to get a decent spot on that card too.

MJF dressing and dancing like Akeem would be gold Jerry, GOLD!

Durag MJF incoming!

I told you guys about Bailey!  Nice to be vindicated.  Talented guy but needs to cut the schtick by 75%.  Or dial it up to 1000%, only cut dubbed promos and every feud starts because he claims his opponent killed his teacher and/or dishonored the Shaolin Temple.

Ok, that's the craziest thing I've read here in years, dude. Tully AND Magnum were awesome and better than 90 percent of everyone wrestling today.

So... Karate Man. Too bad he's in the other promotion now.

There's a joke about Maxwell with an afro in all this but I am loathe to summon it from the depths of bad taste

Excellent Rampage this week. OC's pocketed rolling pin was a highlight. As was Mike Bailey in his debut. That big wide smile reads heel to me. I really liked Dralistico/Cage-Hobbs/Hologram despite the misfires. Harley/Beast is a fun idea, but the execution here was not particularly good. The live promo is not Kenny Omega's strong suit, but the mere camera-share with Shibata/Joe felt joyful. Less so Hook, but now I'm wondering to myself what Omega v Hook might look like. Ospreay's promo was odd, but inspired. MJF's star shined bright all night. Another tightly weaved Mox promo. I suspect the decision to do a Mox v Cope street fight reflects the interest/buys of the ppv. I alone liked the first. Timeless Toni promos are a blessing to us all. I'm game to see what she can do with Bayne. The Christian/Nick/Mother/ Wayne/Renee segment was strong. Jericho seems motivated, and his promo was very good. I continue to enjoy Max Caster's antics more than most. A Willow showcase is good by me. Very good Jay White promo. Ep. 284, enjoyed!

The main event scene is tough to watch but is AEW Vince levels of hating their fans?  Hell no...  Lol.   That would involve none of your favorites being booked on the card or being booked to lose in embarrassing fashion and also a lot more frat boy juvenile humor and stuff about penises,  small people, ribs on the commentators and generic brutes

If MJF is even close to as ridiculous as he was when he teamed with Santana and Ortiz...

Yes, that was the joke. Although, I'm in no way putting down MJF or Hangman, they are my favorites, but I had to get that in there. At least for Tessa Blanchard!

(Also, had to up the ante because nobody bit on the "Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade like Iconic Duo, if Iconic Duo was hot and talented" one a couple of weeks back).

Sorry, bro. Joke didn't connect. I almost never get worked up about shit here at 54 years old, but Magnum/ Tully Starrcade 85 is in my opinion, the greatest match of all time , with one of the greatest builds of all time. So , I totally normally had to say something.
15 years ago, I would have responded with something really mean and funny to me. So, I'm continuing to be in a good space, .....

It's why I haven't commented on the AEW PPV I watched on Sunday. 😀

I mean Mortos is one of my faves so he hit both the losing and frat boy humor.

I assume Cope will lose next week via someone betraying him (I put a nickel on Jay White) which will make this the second time since his return just over five years ago where a deal with anyone he has wrestled hasn't ended with him going over. The other was to Roman, both will have likely involved heavy interference only to lose to people where it doesn't really benefit them but hurts Cope the least. At a certain point it isn't coincidence...
