Governor Cuomo is proposing to MLB that they play all games in NY is a pseudo bubble As a New Yorker I really hate this idea. I don’t see any way we don’t have another spike again anyhow, and Cuomo’s wonderful idea seems to be inviting that. 1
RIPPA Posted July 28, 2020 Posted July 28, 2020 Because Lawful needs some excitement in his life - the Astros are signing Fernando Rodney 3

hammerva Posted July 29, 2020 Posted July 29, 2020 Well at least one team hasn't forgotten that Astros cheated Apologize for not finding a less douchey version of this on Twitter. 3 2
Dolfan in NYC Posted July 29, 2020 Author Posted July 29, 2020 Nightengale has since deleted the tweet, but yesterday was saying the cause of the Marlins' outbreak was several players going out on the town in Atlanta before the season started. This is completely unconfirmed, and frankly irresponsible on his part.

Well yes just because it was Nightengale That being said - other writers and baseball media folks have said that they have received messages from vets basically implying the same thing. It was basically "the season is going to get cancelled because guys can't keep it in their pants" As per usual - the truth probably falls somewhere in the middle
odessasteps Posted July 29, 2020 Posted July 29, 2020 So, the NFL was right to try and keep their players from going out. 1
RIPPA Posted July 29, 2020 Posted July 29, 2020 Juan Soto has finally passed two straight negative tests and has been cleared to returned. Of course - the DC government has to clear him to play too
RIPPA Posted July 29, 2020 Posted July 29, 2020 Well looks like the league has finally decided to take things seriously and act more cautiously The Phillies and Jays will no longer play on Friday but instead play a Double Header on Saturday (and then again on Sunday) This to allow one more day to ensure Philly is cleared (today was the second straight day where no one on the team tested positive) 2

I think the main thing I have gathered from sports this week is that if you want some banging chicken wings you need to go to an Atlanta strip club. Seriously they must be put crack in those wings 1
Dolfan in NYC Posted July 29, 2020 Author Posted July 29, 2020 Oh, and Nick Markakis has seen everything that's been going on and says... cool. He's opting back in. 4
EdA Posted July 29, 2020 Posted July 29, 2020 (edited) Former Red Sox (among other teams) Manager John McNamara dead at 88. Yet again he is far too late with Dave Stapleton as a replacement. Edited July 29, 2020 by EdA 1
ChesterCopperpot Posted July 30, 2020 Posted July 30, 2020 (edited) Joe Kelly from the top rope Edited July 30, 2020 by ChesterCopperpot damn - it's not his account
Travis Sheldon Posted July 30, 2020 Posted July 30, 2020 So he gets 8 games for that? Guess they're going to protect the Astros heavy this year.
Dolfan in NYC Posted July 30, 2020 Author Posted July 30, 2020 Jose Reyes finally got around to seeing the notary public. He's officially retired.
RIPPA Posted July 30, 2020 Posted July 30, 2020 Orioles Chris Davis was “mysteriously” not at the ballpark yesterday and the team wouldn’t comment on it so either he has tested positive or the team took him out back and had him shot 1 3
RIPPA Posted July 30, 2020 Posted July 30, 2020 Oh BTW - the Marlins had ANOTHER player test positive so they are up to 17 There is no chance they are playing again on Monday
RIPPA Posted July 30, 2020 Posted July 30, 2020 And here is the reason why they made the Phillies wait to play

Unless they just decide to replace the Marlins with their AAA team for 2 weeks.
RIPPA Posted July 30, 2020 Posted July 30, 2020 Remember the commissioner said this wasn't a nightmare scenario
