Tangential - and boy talk about probably spiking the ball too early. Governor Cuomo is proposing to MLB that they play all games in NY is a pseudo bubble

As a New Yorker I really hate this idea. I don’t see any way we don’t have another spike again anyhow, and Cuomo’s wonderful idea seems to be inviting that.

Nightengale has since deleted the tweet, but yesterday was saying the cause of the Marlins' outbreak was several players going out on the town in Atlanta before the season started.

This is completely unconfirmed, and frankly irresponsible on his part.

Well yes just because it was Nightengale

That being said - other writers and baseball media folks have said that they have received messages from vets basically implying the same thing. It was basically "the season is going to get cancelled because guys can't keep it in their pants"

As per usual - the truth probably falls somewhere in the middle

Juan Soto has finally passed two straight negative tests and has been cleared to returned.

Of course - the DC government has to clear him to play too

Well looks like the league has finally decided to take things seriously and act more cautiously

The Phillies and Jays will no longer play on Friday but instead play a Double Header on Saturday (and then again on Sunday)

This to allow one more day to ensure Philly is cleared (today was the second straight day where no one on the team tested positive)

So, the NFL was right to try and keep their players from going out.

I think the main thing I have gathered from sports this week is that if you want some banging chicken wings you need to go to an Atlanta strip club.   Seriously they must be put crack in those wings

Oh, and Nick Markakis has seen everything that's been going on and says... cool.

He's opting back in.

Former Red Sox (among other teams) Manager John McNamara dead at 88.  Yet again he is far too late with Dave Stapleton as a replacement.

Jose Reyes finally got around to seeing the notary public.

He's officially retired.

Orioles Chris Davis was “mysteriously” not at the ballpark yesterday and the team wouldn’t comment on it so either he has tested positive or the team took him out back and had him shot

Oh BTW - the Marlins had ANOTHER player test positive so they are up to 17

There is no chance they are playing again on Monday

At this rate the next 2 Monday's .  Unless they just decide to replace the Marlins with their AAA team for 2 weeks.
