glfpunk Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 Why are the talking heads so stupid all the time? Every NFL season is the same thing. Everyone changes so drastically week to week. This week a team looks great and they're the dark horse to go to the super bowl, next week they lose and there's no chance in hell they make the playoffs and it's onto talking about the new flavor of the week. I was listening to the radio a while ago and they were talking up Cam Newton something fierce. You'd think the guy was John Elway. Just this past week they were talking about how inaccurate of a passer he is and all of his shortcomings and now he's pro bowl caliber. They played the Bucs for crying out loud. I just wish they'd slow the fuck down sometimes and look at the big picture.
JLSigman Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 It never fails that we have to lose one dude a game. Son of a - @Panthers: Rivera says DE Charles Johnson’s MRI came back negative. He suffered a groin strain in the final minutes of last night’s game. *phew*

It's not going to change any time soon.
pipGofern Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 This week's Raiders-Steelers game will be interesting because I'm sure Terrelle Pryor will be pumped up to have a monster game against the Steelers what with them being his hometown team. He was a Pittsburgh high school sports legend, winning state player of the year twice and leading his school to state championships in both football and basketball. He'd be fun to root for if he also wasn't such a legendary prick: He's literally the the real life Voodoo Tatum.* *Yes, I like to compare NFL players to characters from Friday Night Lights. Andrew Luck is totally Jason Street if Street never got paralyzed. Russell Wilson = Vince Howard. And Riggins has to be Rob Gronkowski.
Dewar Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 I like Riggins way too much for him to be Gronk. 1
dogwelder Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 Not sure if this would be better here or in the Wrestling area, but according to PWInsider Shawn Merriman got a WWE tryout. 1

For whatever reason, I'm not the least bit surprised by this. The Lights Out Headkick will be his finishing move.
Ryan Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 Carl's Lock: Redskins vs. Broncos 2013 Sensitivity abounds as Carl discusses team names and mascots http://video.adultswim.com/carl/carls-lock-redskins-vs-broncos-2013.html
hammerva Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 And we may already have a hurt Bills QB. In the game I mean There are probably more people in London waving those Jaguar flags then people in Jacksonville who give a shit about the Jaguars
RIPPA Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 WHOO-HOO!!! Giants get a pick and Tom Brady throws a pick. That was a good 60 seconds

Death From Above Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 I woke up just in time to see Brady throw another pick. I am so lazy.
Raziel Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 GORE! GORE! GORE! Yeah, the SF/Jax game is *totally* worth watching.
Ryan Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 Go back to sleep to the dulcet tones of Tommy sobbing on the sidelines.
Niners Fan in CT Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 I don't want to be too nonchalant about this. Good opening drive. They are still an NFL team...don't let up
Raziel Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 Miami just shredded NE's D on that drive. Yeah, Miami just drove extremely compentently.
