To be fair, Cardi did just catch flack for (probably making up) a story about drugging male customers at some of those establishments years ago from an old YouTube video. The dry snitching (on yourself no less) part is one side of it, but there is the whole consent thing and I don't think Cardi is well equipped to get herself out of that if someone came forward with something. Her actual response to the whole thing ("I had limited options at the time" "They were consenting and aware adults") wouldn't fly at all if she was a male and moreover if someone corroborated her story as I mentioned in a court of law. Who the fuck consents to a drugging? The whole reason she got famous prior to being on (and during) Love and Hip Hop NY, besides being a step or two from doing gonzo porn, was her rambling on in videos giving some weird type of life advice from her perspective. I am going to guess you're not going to get the most sage advice from an at the time 20 or 21 year old stripper from the Bronx who got her breast implants and butt shots done in some dirty ass basement. Also, there would be probably an admission to one or more crimes. You can't scrub the internet of those videos because she was underground famous even BEFORE Bodak Yellow. The only thing helping her out is she is likely adding extras to the story or more than likely taking someone else's story and making it her own for credibility, which again is fucked up anyway you slice it. She's essentially exaggerating stuff like that like she exaggerates her connection with the Bloods. So basically, she needs to shut the fuck up, don't try to hop on any social issues, and pray those smoking guns (that actually might be real smoking guns) people have on her don't surface anytime soon. Yeah, she's been doing that for a long time. That still doesn't mean she should be doing it now. If someone wanted to do what Cernovich did to James Gunn to Cardi B, they literally would have video proof from something posted on like World Star years ago instead of shitty, terrible jokes in tweets someone forgot to delete. When she had that little spat with Tomi Lahren, all Tomi had to do was basically 2 or 3 hours of research and Cardi's career would be done. Finito. However, Tomi Lahren wants to stay hip or w/e the fuck she wants to do to stay relevant with people her age on her little right wing recruiting mission so Tomi folded basically. She's insanely popular and well liked. It seems now more than ever if you are liked by enough people your fans will ride with you no matter what you say or do and you're teflon. Of course the same people who are big fans of Cardi B (hey, I'm a fan of hers too... sorta) are not the same people who I see chanting at klan rallies this evening (that was a klan rally right?) so I don't want to say Cardi could do and say whatever but I do feel she'd have to do quite a bit to lose her support. I mean she just got indicted on 14 charges including 2 felonies from a strip club brawl. Before that, she got lumped up in a skirmish at some NYFW event with one of Nicki Minaj's pseudo celebrity pals. I am not saying you can't go out anymore (including but not limited to strip clubs, the Met Gala, or NYFW), but if you know you have the propensity to do dumb shit ALL THE TIME (and then dry snitch on yourself as mentioned above), you got to get some real handlers. But she isn't because her whole M.O. is taking care of her family (including her sister who by all accounts is crazier than her). If you're going to find any yes men or yes people around you, the likelihood of some if not most of them being related to you is pretty high. She is the meal ticket of meal tickets because no one knew Bodak Yellow would be that popular. As is though, it won't matter about how popular she is now because fame can easily erode and she can slowly grate on people's nerves. The only reason I like her now is because I never liked Nicki Minaj in the first place so the enemy of my enemy etc. etc. However, you can wear out your welcome fast. The only person who can transcend superstar popularity despite recurring issues is Michael Jackson. I don't know if you noticed or not, but she ain't no Michael Jackson. If you get indicted by a grand jury on a fight at some low level strip club that probably has fights regularly, people are after you for real.
