I wish I could have made this gif 15 seconds longer too. He just keeps on doing the squawking and the strutting after the match.

I wish he'd attempted to claw his opponents eyes out. Then pecked at them afterwords. Or had a spike on the heel of his boot like this hidden foreign object that he'd use in desperation. Then I remember Red Rooster wasn't some mentally unhinged heel, he was an embarrassed babyface

The "Rooster Wing" was a lifting hammerlock, sirrah, nothing as magnificent or shooty as Mr. George Steele's Flying Hammerlock which did not even need an animal related nickname. The poultry-man was doomed from the start...

re: Bossman in Japan

What are some good matches to check out? The one above looks good, obv.

vs. Misawa/Kobashi, vs. Kobashi, vs. Taue/Kawada

1993. The same year DiBiase returned to AJPW... I think Dr Death might have gotten himself an unofficial 'overseas talent booker' gig at one point in there.

In regards to Taylor as Red Rooster, he used the Sharpshooter originally as "The Cock of The Walk", one of the worst named finishers ever!

He won the feud with Brawler with ti if I remember correctly

I've seen this gif (and the match it's from).... i dunno, dozens of times..... and I still do a double take at Williams busting out the somersault back elbow.

Doc painting his face and working tours of Japan as Great Muta Grande would have been a license to print money.
