SOCCER - Fall 2015

Game ends with a complete turnaround, as Aubameyang scores one in the first, followed by Kagawa again Aubameyang and Mhkitaryan to win the game 4-3 for Dortmund, who could have scored at least 7 with nobody having a real reason to complain. A great, fun game in the end, passionate underdog fighting the heavy favourites with all they had.

What is the MOTD on NBC like? How's it doing in the ratings?

It's Rebecca Lo-wah and the two pundits that week showing highlights while sitting in big comfy chairs.

Hard to tell with ratings since it is often on at midnight or 0100.

EPL ratings for NBC generally are up on NBC and MBCSN.

Great game, but that start was just hilarious.

Ā

And why did Tuchel put Castro in the defense?

Ā

Nevermind, because we won, but that should have been a 7 or 8 to 3.

Ā

From what I recall, Castro was playing fullback at one point in his career. He stopped playing in that position a few years ago, but was labelled one of the great hopes defending as a right back a few years ago. However, Lahm always stated that he wanted to play at right back, which led to him never establishing himself on that position in the national team. He went back to midfielder a couple of years ago.

Strangely, it seems to be a trend in German football to put fullbacks in CM spots.

Ā

EDIT (wrongfully posted in WC 2018 thread at first):

Okay,Ā  IĀ“m all calm now in regards to my football beliefs! Dortmund is back to wasting chances. Their first match against Gladbach, they pretty much scored with every shot in the first half. Now against Odds and Ingolstadt, they created tons of chances, missing them in almost comical fashion.

Ā

Dortmund took the lead after roughly an hour thanks to workaround-rightback Ginter of all people, then doubled the lead with a Reus penalty. Match had kind of a weird feeling, but ended with a 4-0 win (Kagawa and Aubameyang finishing off Ingolstadt) for the BVB who take an early lead in the Bundesliga table after matchday 2.

Holy crap, Liverpool look fantastic. Benteke has fit in so well and really opens up transition and attack to a whole new world of possibilities. Coutinho is world class right now. That double jink past Bellerin and rocket drive headed for post and in was gorgeous.
