If you're curious like me, Google "Submission Sorority." Yeah, they're going to have to change that name.  The short version of "The SS" doesn't work, either.

It also didn't help that Maggle kept calling it Submissive Sorority.

First thing that pops into my head on both counts is barely legal porno movie titles.

Only way I see a reason to book Taker/Brock again is to give the Erin back to the Deadman. And the only reason I can see to do that is to setup a rubber match at next year's WrestleMania.

Which doesn't seem like a great idea.

But at least the build has been awesome.

The only way this works is if they give the URN back to the dead man, and he manages to open it, only to hear Roddy's bagpipes and a holographic Tupac version of Roddy returns a la Sanchez in Highlander 2, and utterly beats the shit out of Brock.

But that's the just the feels talking. I don't want Roddy to be gone.

Does anyone actually think Roman sucks anymore? The dude has had a really great year. (And WWE career.)

Well I don't think he sucks, but I don't view him as a particularly good worker or anything.  I mean, I'm not expecting him to be a Kawada-esque super worker, but the Last Man Standing match with Big Show clearly exposed him as a guy needs smoke and mirrors to have a good match.

Definitely a guy who could use a few years in New Japan, where he could work with A.J., Nakamura, and Tanahashi every night and learn from them.

That, and the flak jacket needs to go.

Shit, man. Knock it off. You're confirming all of Gregg's strawman arguments.

Well I suppose could point to the Daniel Bryan match, but who couldn't have a good match with Bryan?

Then there's him looking like a genuinely sympathetic underdog at Mania. But once again, who couldn't produce results against a legit killer like Brock?

There's his entertaining turns at Payback and MITB, especially as the highlight-reel producing monster of this year's MITB match. But hiding in a crowd is easy.

I loved his hoss-off with Wyatt. But if Ryback can do the same thing well, it can't require that much skill.

I'd point to the similarly fun TV hoss-offs versus Harper and Sheamus in recent weeks and months, but why bother? The trend is clear: Roman is poopy. Nothing but smoke and mirrors.

Nikita Koloff?  But yeah, Bryan is this generation's Ricky Steamboat in that he can take pretty much anyone and instinctively carry them to a 3*** match, at the very least.

God, just imagine if they'd booked Tomohiro Ishii in that match instead of Reigns.  Ishii would have the balls to go shot-for-shot with Brock and could probably dead lift him up for the Steiner Screwdriver, and would probably take so many psychotic bumps it would have been amazing.

Reigns' biggest problem is that he has stupid ring gear and the action hero gimmick is lame. Those are probably the things that will never get fixed, so he'll end up an Orton type guy where no matter how good he gets in the ring or on the mic, he's got a presence problem.

I see Taker winning with interference from Kane.

Man the WWE/NJPW comparison has just made me think how awesome WWE doing a G1 style thing could be. Imagine them having matches for it on house shows and using it as a Network exclusive.

The more HHH grabs hold of the reigns, the more I could see them doing a Round Robin thing.

Working in Japan did wonders for Albert/Tensai. Came back with a fucking claw hold STO and was dancing fat man #2 in no time.

Reigns is fine where he is. Wait til he starts working Owens, Zayn, Neville etc.

I REALLY don't want to see Owens, Zayn, Neville jobbed out to Reigns.

When he works with Neville, he damn well better job clean as a sheet to the Red Arrow

FTFY.

Reigns "action hero" gimmick would be a million times better if they just had him do action movie clichés all the time, walking away from explosions without looking back, avenging his friend who was "one day from retirement" etc.

"The Last Action Hero" Roman Reigns. His entrance theme would have to be Alice in Chains "What the Hell Have I".

So, to the people loudly championing what a tremendous wrestler Roman Reigns has become, is he one of your favourites now?  Do you eagerly look forward to the next Roman Reigns segment?  If [insert favourite wrestler of years past] came back in their prime, would Reigns be the first wrestler on the roster you'd want to see a match with?  Because I would pick any one of Bryan, Cesaro, Owens, Balor, Rollins, Ambrose, Lesnar, Harper, Rusev, Kidd, KENTA, Zayn, Joe, Rhyno, or Breeze ahead of Reigns to face a Flair or Terry Funk or Randy Savage.  And that's just the people I doubt anyone on here would disagree with.  I'd also prefer to see wrestlers like Jack Swagger or R-Truth over Reigns - people that are much more accomplished and/or talented than Reigns but are treated like jokes instead of faces-of-the-company-to-bes.  Reigns, while dealing with the audience hating him, has never had to deal with having the company cut off his legs the way someone like Zack Ryder has.  Let's see if he's still motivated to leap over the top rope head-first or work hard in nothing matches against Wyatt when the promise of everything he could ever dream of isn't there.  Let's see how motivated he is when his promise is another RAW match in the already-in-the-ring spot.

Audiences have always respected wrestlers who earn what they get.  Nobody would have boo'ed CM Punk main eventing Wrestlemania.  Reigns has been a professional wrestler for a shorter period of time than Alicia Fox has been on the main roster.  Reigns has never captured the audience's imaginations as a singles competitor and has been rewarded for this by being thrust into the main event of the biggest platform imaginable.  I cannot for the life of me understand how people fail to grasp this.  Wrestling fans go on and on about how there's no good storytelling in the WWE and then seem completely unable to understand the very clear story of why a group of people who have traditionally had to endure social scorn for liking something aren't willing to get behind someone who is being rewarded exclusively for his looks.

Somewhere along the way people stopped being able to comprehend that you can watch someone wrestle, acknowledge that they are really really good, and still not give much of a shit about them. Sheamus is an awesome in ring talent, doesn't mean I have to give much of a shit about him.

Though, as Burgundy stated, if you think Jack Fucking Swagger is as good as Roman Reigns is, then you are either too biased to take seriously in this discussion, or just using some really really good drugs.

You still would though, wouldn't you?

EDIT: Hey, that tattoo on his arm has a scar (or possibly a brand) underneath it! Never noticed that before. Why in the fuck anyone would choose to get branded in this day and age I don't know. But people do.

I hope he beats them all Gauntlet style.

And the only person out of that long list of names from Hooker that I would rather see in those matches would be Rusev & Lesnar. Maybe Harper.
