The Nature Boy Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 Destination America is owned by Discovery Communications. Maybe TNA can hope that they do well enough to land on TLC? Or maybe Investigation Discovery can air a show where they explore how the hell TNA is still in business. 2
Brian Fowler Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 So, I checked the listings for the station earlier. It was three episodes of Buying Alaska, an episode of Railroad Alaska, then five more episodes of Buying Alaska. So, maybe they can finally get TNA a new name: Fighting Alaska? Wrestling Alaska?

They'd probably just go with Total Nonstop Alaska. 9
Raziel Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 Hey, be fair. Destination America runs an awesome BBQ Competition show in the summer. Yes, that's the only reason I knew that channel existed, why? 1

To be fair, Alaska crowds are pretty awesome.
cool arrow Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 Does this mean we'll finally get the Dixie-Sarah Palin feud?
jstout Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 Hey, be fair. Destination America runs an awesome BBQ Competition show in the summer. Yes, that's the only reason I knew that channel existed, why? Do you gamble on the competitions using offshore websites? Every BBQ competition that gets held locally has done the same thing - the promoters say "none of the barbecue made by the competitors will be available to the public. There will be Joe's food shack selling something vaguely resembling barbecue, though. Come on down!" I understand it, but it's still funny.
The Nature Boy Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 I'm looking forward to the Impact Zone moving to Alaska and Dixie spinning it as TNA "adapting to the modern marketplace by moving to the growing region of Anchorage."

There's a surprising amount of Klondyke Kate (sic) on youtube.
cool arrow Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 I've always wondered about that spelling.
twiztor Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Destination America's ratings just jumped 300% due to people checking to see if they got that channel. 3
evilwaldo Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 An Investigation Alaska show focused on a person who posts on a message board who has no Twitter handle under the same name yet both seem to have a love and affection for Pro Wrestling and Dixie. What is their connection in this sordid triangle between a message board, Twitter, and a Pro Wrestling company? 1
victor Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 I get Destination America, which I'm glad about, our cable system dropped Spike and all other Viacom channels about a month ago. I know they do a fair amount of Ghost Hunting, Haunting type shows. At least now Dixie can re-hire Russo openly. Which I'm sure she will.
E.J. Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 I can't wait till she holds another meeting saying "if you don't like my decisions, then leave". And then this time watch everyone get up and leave. 1

I really miss Comedy Central, but getting FXX was nice. 1
AxB Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 There's a surprising amount of Klondyke Kate (sic) on youtube. I saw Klondyke Kate's daughter wrestle Paige's Mum last year. It was rubbish.
TerjeRUN Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 VH1 Classics should buy it and run repeats with classics songs dubbed over commentary. 1
Curt McGirt Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Viacom channels will come back, the channels and providers are always doing that annual financial squabble, channel-dropping bullshit. AMC's busted out the commercials begging their viewers to irritate DirecTV about dropping their channels this season already. They finagle over the money, come to a deal, and put the shit back on; there's never a permanent break. At least on satellite. Why do Destination America want TNA? They already have a show called Sinkholes: Swallowed Alive. *rimshot* 3
Josh Mann Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 So basically they got a lowball deal with a carrot on a stick that they can have a better deal if they reach goals that are the equivalent of a running back having an 1800-yard season? The carnies got carnied.
cool arrow Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 No no, that can't be. I've been assured that DIxie is a shrewd negotiator, and she would never allow that.
Ace Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 Tonight's show will also be the last one. Spike has decided not to show best-of shows the rest of the year.
