Dolfan in NYC Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Someone on reddit looked up what the Hex translation is on the above sequence. U, U, D, D, L, R, L, R, B, A. Yes, the launch sequence was the Konami code. 3
Craig H Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 So my girlfriend loves Archer and I've never seen it...until now. Wow. So goddamn funny. I regret not getting into it sooner. 1
Ryan Posted April 22, 2014 Author Posted April 22, 2014 A great way to end the season with a return to the status quo in one way while totally changing it in another way. 1
caley Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 So I'm 6 episodes into Season 5 (which is up on Netflix now) and I can't help feel like it...well, sucks. The characters are all kinda turning into one-dimensional: Archer using 'Danger Zone' when it doesn't really apply, Carol screaming constantly, Lana being the wet blanket, Pam being a coke-fiend, Ray being stereotypically gay. Whereas in the past, they all had some depth: Lana was the wet blanket but she had some good lines, Carol did stuff other than scream, Ray was a perfectly funny well-rounded character and didn't cry all the time. I find Krieger and Cyril to be the only characters with any real direction or humor to them. And the weird emotional moments they try to throw in just feel way off, like Lana being all overcome at Archer giving her his cradle or their tender moment in the kitchen while the FBI agent tries to break down the door or Archer saying that they all like Pam the way she was before. I'm hoping it picks up but I am just not into this season at all, and it has nothing to do with the 'Archer Vice' angle, I think that's pretty brilliant. But whereas they should be using this as an opportunity for them to be going on crazy drug-dealing missions and the like, the dealing is in the background and almost never important in any way. 1

Yea... I thought the first half of Season 5 was lacking and was getting to into the characters being too over the top. But the season got better as it rolled along I think.
Spritenaut 32 Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 I dug the idea of Archer Vice, but the actual execution.... not so much.
Petey Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 I liked coked out Pam, if only because she ate the cocaine like she was eating a muffin.
Dolfan in NYC Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 19 Jan '15, Season 6 First teaser. Also, if you haven't turned on a TV for the last 6 months, there's a terrorist group out there called ISIS. The TV show is thus (completely voluntarily) dropping the name for the spy agency.
twiztor Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 popped in season 1 last night and a friend stopped over. she said people keep recommending this to her but she's never seen it. after an hour she ordered the first couple seasons off Amazon. oh yeah.
Guest Ramo2653 Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014 I just recently finished Season 5 and the characters did get a little too one note and grating by the end of the season. It was kinda a chore to get through the last few episodes. I'm hoping the new season is better.
TheVileOne Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014 I completely tuned out during season five. Show just lost its appeal to me with all the Vice Style stuff. I think the show peaked around season 4-ish.

Archer Vice is a great concept, and if you try to explain the season to someone by summarizing plots, it sounds hilarious. But the actual episodes are kinda average and most of the character changes were annoying. It's basically the Will Ferrell of Archer seasons. Sounds like it would be a lot more hilarious than it actually is. Still get a kick out of cokehead Pam, though.
TimLivingston Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Awesome premiere. Back to the Archer I know and love. 1
NikoBaltimore Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 Great way to get back into the season. Poor Mallory, you could see her hopes and dreams dissapear with the hologram reveal. Liked Archer showing a bit of compassion, which is nice. I think later in the season he's going to show more of that, but for now he's in denial. I find it interesting in the end he revealed he was part of the design committee. His line about not liking change seemed like it's related to the baby situation as well. That, or I'm putting too much thought into this. But either way, I'm liking it so far.
Dolfan in NYC Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 Archer is one of the smartest shows on TV, you read that absolutely correctly. By the way, only this show can get me to love a semi-sentient copier/toaster. 2
Eivion Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 I don't think he is truly hates the baby situation, but such a big change to his own personal life came way too unexpected.
NikoBaltimore Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 I LITERALLY enjoyed everything about this episode. See what I did there? Good to see Slater back, and the animatronic baby is begging to be a gif. Holy cow Krieger almost stole the episode with that one. 1
Ace Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 I don't think he is truly hates the baby situation, but such a big change to his own personal life came way too unexpected. It's been stated more than once that Archer hates change.
MarcosLoura Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 I binged on all the seasons right before this one started. I'm a happy man. 1
Hail Sabin Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 Krieger stole the episode and did he have a Predator behind the secret door?
Kuetsar Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 The whole redecorating angle is freakin GOLD. . . 1
