I fucked up my wrestling half year awards not naming Drew McIntyre Heel of the Year, Promos of the Year and forgetting Promotion of the Year, I'd give that to WWE.

Drew McIntyre is doing his best work ever. Chuckled at the Gripe Bomb/Brawl Out 2022 reference.

Topicalish point: sometimes it feels like wrestling booking (at least recently) would have decided to do the Yokozuna slam challenge on the Intrepid every year even if he gets bodyslammed by a new guy every year.

watching Taker/Kane from WM14 and boy does the Undertaker come close to dropping Kane on his head with the Tombstone twice (third one looked better)

Kane must have stopped resisting at that point since he was out cold. The clean one woke him up again so he could kick out right after the three count! Well, I don't recall if he kicked out of each of the previous Tombstones? If he did, then that one doesn't work.

Kane twitching to kick out of one tombstone was a bit of a “how come that doesn’t happen more” spot especially since every other wrestler who doesn’t hook a leg for a pinfall gets it pointed out.

Then again the Undertaker doesn’t really do as many near falls as the usual wrestler

That's the problem with trying to intentionally "make moments" sometimes - the urge to go back to the well, or make something overly epic can be too much to resist.

On a side note: I may have mentioned this on past 4ths, but that Lex/Yoko slam is the first time I ever saw pro-wrestling in any form as a kid, so happy anniversary to me

It was a hip toss.

that "sometimes" is doing a lot of heavy lifting.

edited to add:
an extreme example is Abadon earning an AEW Women's Title shot each year at or around Halloween, but being nonexistent on TV for the other 11 months of the year.

WWE mingling with TNA & Bloodsport makes more sense when you view it from the TKO perspective. They just paid out MLW 20 million in a settlement they didn't want to go to trial. They just settle a UFC anti-trust lawsuit. They don't want scrutiny on that independent contractor status /  antitrust lawsuits. This is their way of mitigating all that.

Having something to point to and say hey we aren't trying to monopolize. There's a clear #2 and we're working with the #3s & #4s to help them out. Some of it can be a shift in philosophy because Triple H & Shawn don't see the business in those same black and white 'I need it all' terms that Vince did. But TKO wanting to keep their nose clean is the driving force I'd say.

Anybody know what was the deal with him showing up on "The Legend of Mick Dodge" (NatGeo reality show about a guy living off the land in the Pacific NW forest) as himself, but he was living in the NW as a leather maker or something. If it was a work, it was a very weird and specific work...

My understanding is that KS lived on one of those little islands in Washington state, or at least did a few years ago.

I always knew about the SMW Sullivan vs. Kanemura bloodletting but I'm just now discovering that the feud continued through the rest of 1993 in W*ING, complete with 2 Korakuen singles matches (well, really one and a half). It's just so cool there's more of it, half a world away. Their match from the "Dog in the Box" tour feels like a true, full sequel. I love it when wrestling loves me back.
