Hey don't worry, Owens beat Ziggler for no reason too, so it all evens out.

It was by DQ when Ryback interfered. KO is too fat to get clean wins on TV.

Well, Owens won clean against Ziggler on Main Event last week, but that was Main Event, so it's probably non-canonical.

Happy to see Team BAD get a check in the W column again but ugh, that New Day triumph mails in the Dudley Boyz victory at the PPV.

Poor AJ Lee.   WWE is going through a lot to write her out of record books.   Funny how they did the same thing with Brock when they put the belt on Randy Orton (RKO supplanted Brock as the youngest person to hold the WWE World Title) only to reconcile with Brock recently and push him too the moon.

How are they going through a lot to write AJ out of the records? Nikki's reign had already gone on a while because they couldn't decide how they wanted to move forward with the divas. Now they have figured it out and managed a decent story out of it. Honestly its the same with Brock. Orton was hot at the time and there was a good angle there for him vs. HHH. While I'm sure they had no problem breaking both's records so soon after they left, it never really felt like WWE went out of their way to do so other than rumors/theories.

Was there this much talk about about Maryse being written out of the record books when AJ broke her record?

The manner in which Maryse left on decent terms when compared to how AJ left by retreating past burned bridges explains why Maryse's title record came and went without shots fired..

Workers say they don't care about those sorts of things, but they do.

Was going to post what JT just posted, so holding off to avoid getting ninja'd.

But it is really petty of WWE to do this considering she had nothing to do with the walkout or lawsuit.  She's just guilty by association (unless she said something but haven't seen it)  And it's tougher to get over it if you are/were an AJ fan.

The problem is WWE has done a shitty job taking that heat and putting it on NIKKI. If they're gonna keep dropping AJ's name like they have, they might as well have put it into the mix, with Paige fighting for her friend's record, and Charlotte saying Nikki doesn't deserve to be champ.

Instead we've got what we got, which was the Bellatron and "last night's loss (didn't) matter".

I don't care about Nikki having the record for AJ's sake because Nikki will NEVER have the legacy that AJ made. I care about it for Charlotte's. Because even if she wins on Sunday now, it's gonna mean a hell of a lot less.

Why is it going to mean less now?

Ehhhhhhh

It brought heat to an angle & feud people were so-so about at best due to WWE not focusing on building characters within the division until the last month or so. Decent story is probably a bit much, but it is much more than what we were gettign beforehand.

How is it petty to give a record to an active worker who is going to wrestle for them potentially years to come over someone who is never coming back?

Did you actually watch Raw? There was plenty of heat on Nikki. PLENTY.

What, after the Dusty finish? Oh then bravo, WWE creative team! *golf clap*

I know you're being facetious, but WTF is wrong with a Dusty finish? It stinks when it's used all the time. But I don't remember the last time they actually used one.

And golf club for getting the intended reaction from a creative decision.

The Divas Revolution has been really good and tight if you look at it macro, which no one really wants to do because finding a flaw that week is way more easier to notice. Forest for the trees.

Here is what they've done:

1) Introduced the three teams and three new characters. Had a series of matches between the various people in the teams that resulted in a split decision. Sets up a match between all three teams. (These girls are all evenly matched. I want to see who wins.)

2) Team PCB wins. They then get rewarded with a Beat The Clock deal to see who gets the first shot against Nikki. Charlotte wins.

2A) A sub-feud develops between Sasha and Paige over who is the better wrestler. Sasha is currently one-up after tapping out Paige. Maybe they have another match between the two that Paige wins in order to set up a blow-off. (These two girls are competitive and equals. I want to see who wins.)

3) Nikki touts her streak. She now has a greater motivation than to just defend the title.

4) They make the story "Can the daughter of the most legendary wrestler of all-time win her first title take down Nikki before she beats the streak?" Two characters with two motivations. And it isn't just about titles -- it's about legacies and the like.

5) Nikki sleazes her way into beating the streak, despite her duplicitous sister nearly ruining it for her. Charlotte was robbed of the title. Nikki brags about her record, despite earning it unjustly. But her champion's advantage is now taken away. (I want to see Charlotte get revenge, and Nikki's on the ropes now that she doesn't have Brie and Alicia doing her dirty work.)

BAM. Good story. I don't see any problem with that overall structure. There are now defined characters and motivations. There's a next chapter set up -- Sasha wants the belt against whoever comes out with it -- too.

There have definitely been some flaws in the execution. The three-way match was bad. The Miz TV segment didn't work. But that's fine -- three of the performers are new to Raw and flubs are going to happen and are forgiven. But overall, the matches have all been watchable and told within the confines of building to the next step.
