That would actually be a good story. Eddie finally has a good year, but gets too deep into the 90s AJ cosplay and eats shit. Lots of directions you could take that. His reaction after getting rolled up by an 0-4 Garcia in the final garbage time match would be priceless.

It's so sad to see someone work so hard to finally make it and then, in a moment of hubris, put it all on the line and end up falling face first into a big pile of shit from to word go! He can still turn this around, but it's getting down to the wire and his success now depends on other people failing worse than he has. I don't envy him.

If Kingston wins here, and the story is Kingston trying to overcome the odds and rely on results going his way to make it, having Garcia/Brody next makes it difficult unless you have Garcia upset Brody, or Kingston can't progress no matter what.

If Garcia drags it out to a draw with Brody, Kingston still has a small chance. It might require Andrade and Bryan going to a draw as well, but that's definitely within the realm of possibility, right?

The only way this would be really stupid is if Danielson wanted him to Harley Race the eyebrow, and even I don't think Danielson is that crazy-dumb.

What in his history makes you think he *isn't*?

This is incredible. Dude from Turner Movie Classics is introducing “Timeless” Toni Storm tonight. Even better: Ben Mankiewicz is the grandson of director Joseph Mankiewicz, who directed All About Eve. That’s the inspiration for the Mariah May gimmick they are running right now.

Is there an entertaining outcome here that involves Edge winning tonight?

I hope Christian wins and cleanly too which is probably the most productive use of this.

But if Edge wins and immediately drops the belt to someone who could use the rub thats great too. Given he didn't do it with any younger talent in WWE and yet to come close to making anyone else look better for being in the ring or a segment with him, that's hard to see happening.

That's on Swerve. Him winning the TNT belt in early 2024 and getting to brag for the next few months that he beat one of the top stars of the 21st century to do it is exactly the sort of thing he could use to help come off like a star himself. He takes the belt to media appearances and can brag about having beaten The Guy Who Used to be Edge for it and they'll know who he's talking about.
