Literally every single thing that makes WWE WWE.

Of course, however, they stand more to gain from it. Those goes especially even though AEW sends talent to shows in Mexico, they wouldn't have the same penetration in those markets.

Tony will waste money, but it doesn't make sense for him to do it when someone else probably should have it done it years ago and hasn't done it.

Correct. All In is the biggest event in wrestling history.

By a single metric - and that's largely because with $30 tickets it's going to draw a lot of casual fans who wouldn't normally be able to afford going to any event at Wembley

Which is why I suggested booking Davey Boy Smith Jr. so the large chunk of the crowd who doesn't watch AEW can go "oh, I remember his dad!"

I’m always paying $30 to go see a show I don’t normally watch. That is very normal behavior.

Why do parents take their kids to NFL preseason games (tickets are dirt cheap and they couldn't afford the experience otherwise)

Get-in price for the Jaguars game at Wembley the week after All In is $100

Because their kids are fans of the team.

Good thing that one single metric is the most important metric then.

1. Number of paid attendance

2. Amount of money made after all expenses

3. Percentage of attendance that is willing to do this again when you come back

What else do we have? Bring out your metrics! Let's have a metrics measuring contest!

Even with all the injuries, it's weirdly difficult to get Hangman on this card.

  • The cleanest option that pushes against the rumors is just to do Omega/Page/Ibushi vs Takeshita/Ospreay/Jericho. It means that you don't get an Omega singles match on the card but it has a lot of pluses from a storyline perspective, dodges the Jericho vs Ospreay bullet and saves Omega vs Takeshita for All Out, for instance. Plus the crowd doesn't get burnt out from said Omega singles match before the main.
  • The best back up I can think of, if you can't go back to the BCC (and you shouldn't) with Claudio or Yuta, would be to lean into the toughness story of this year with Page and just put him up against Suzuki or Ishii. Or Eddie, actually, which would be a fresh match up, especially if you're building Eddie towards Grand Slam?

Yeah, that six-man/ trios match would be a very good option. Or indeed, a match with Claudio. Eddie vs Page would be interesting and fresh, but neither one should be losing here. I guess that would make this EVEN MORE interesting, then?

As far as Davey Boy junior being a draw in the UK, well…

- Before he ever went to WWE, he toured the UK as an attraction for All Star Wrestling. He didn’t move tickets any more than anyone else.

- In WWE, he appeared multiple times on RAW, Smackdown, Superstars et cetera. His episodes didn’t draw a higher TV rating than the ones he wasn’t on.

- After leaving WWE, he appeared on WrestleTalk TV, doing a shoot interview. More people watched TNA Impact (on the same channel).

- He was a part of the World of Sport Wrestling ITV show in 2018. Whilst they did their best to make him a big deal, the show tanked in the ratings and was cancelled.

- MLW had a UK TV deal when he was there. Hardly anyone noticed.

- Five Star Wrestling was attempting to become the UK’s own Super Indy, using Davey Boy junior as one of it’s major stars (along with Rey Mysterio jr, Drew Galloway, Jonny TV and all the other once-signed free agents of the time). Lost a ton of money and went out of business.

He’s had plenty of chances to be that huge star over here. He’s never managed it. And really, if we as British people wanted to cheer for our homegrown hero… why would we choose a Canadian man?

AEW can bring in Nick Aldis to pop the hometown crowd.

Would this be number 4, or does it surpass one of the previously mentioned as far as importance goes?
