Niners Fan in CT Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 I watch Home Alone every Christmas. It's still awesome. I don't think they can recapture the magic of that movie. The sequel is cool too. 2
Casey Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Cheaper By The Dozen is perfect as is, goddamnit! 1

Although iirc, a very young ScarJo has a small role in the third one. 8 hours ago, Casey said: Cheaper By The Dozen is perfect as is, goddamnit! Which version?

Those sequels really killed my interest in the rest of that series. First one is still great, though. Back on topic, but that Mandalorian trailer peeked my interest. I haven’t given two shits about Star Wars after Force Awakens, but I’d always been into the idea of a Boba Fett bounty hunter show that explores the untapped gritty Cyberpunk scenery of Star Wars. Fans have had a negative reaction to having a series of films about an anti-hero, but Star Wars needs this to branch the series out to different demos that might be attracted to this kind of tone. CSC Posted August 24, 2019 Posted August 24, 2019 In the near future, Disney+ will be parenting everyone's children...
JonnyLaw Posted August 24, 2019 Posted August 24, 2019 (edited) That’s interesting given that they’re also looking to clamp down on password sharing. It also sounds like their shows will be released weekly, rather than Netflix-esque binge dumping. Edited August 24, 2019 by JonnyLaw
CSC Posted August 24, 2019 Posted August 24, 2019 I assume it's going to be advertised as give each one of your children an ipad to watch their shit while you can still watch Star Wars stuff on your big tv. 1

AxB Posted August 24, 2019 Posted August 24, 2019 At the start of Empire he said the only reason he was still at the Rebel base was because he hadn't been paid yet (he was lying; The only reason he was there was because he was hoping to get off with Leia). Basically every decision he made after that was arguably motivated by self preservation.
driver Posted August 24, 2019 Posted August 24, 2019 Watched the trailer for The Mandalorian and it makes me think of Star Wars if it were directed by Sergio Leone. 1 1
Niners Fan in CT Posted August 25, 2019 Posted August 25, 2019 I'd love Star Wars as directed by Paul Verhoeven.
Niners Fan in CT Posted August 25, 2019 Posted August 25, 2019 Yes, but the one issue with Starship Troopers is the casting of Casper Van Dien as a fucking babyface. He's a natural heel.

JonnyLaw Posted August 25, 2019 Posted August 25, 2019 Based on a marketing survey I just got, Verizon is looking into including a year of Disney+ with certain mobile unlimited plans.
