Dolfan in NYC Posted March 19, 2019 Posted March 19, 2019 I'm probably going to be busy later tonight, so here's the thread for tonight's Smackdown Live as Kofi Kingston runs the gauntlet to "go to Wrestlemania"
Raziel Posted March 19, 2019 Posted March 19, 2019 The meltdown when Kofi gets choked out by Joe 3 matches in is gonna be epic.
MonteCarl Posted March 19, 2019 Posted March 19, 2019 What are the chances that the gauntlet match takes up the entire show and Kofi goes for two full hours......and then gets screwed at the end? 1
Web Conn Posted March 19, 2019 Posted March 19, 2019 Who would they really put against D-Bry at MAnia in that Gauntlet that isn't Kofi? Joe, possibly but the U.S. title is being defended in some multi man match, Unless he wins the gauntlet tonight and loses the title next week. Randy has a match with AJ he's out thank god. If not Kofi I think the only guy the crowd wouldn't shit on is Cesaro.
Craig H Posted March 19, 2019 Posted March 19, 2019 I think Kofi wins the whole thing and then Vince tells him he'll put him in the Andre the Giant Battle Royal.
Casey Posted March 19, 2019 Posted March 19, 2019 (edited) I think Kofi wins, faces Bryan at WrestleMania (because the article specifically says a WWE title match at Mania), wins, and people care for about 3 weeks before everyone realizes there was a reason he didn't win the title in the 10/11 years prior to this. odessasteps Posted March 19, 2019 Posted March 19, 2019 Kofi having Rowan beat only to be ambushed by Luke would be cool. 2
DJ Hero Morganti Posted March 19, 2019 Posted March 19, 2019 Then you can drop it back to Bryan at the next event. Kofi is no worse a champ than Jinder who was a Canadian they were using to try to break harder into India

Niners Fan in CT Posted March 19, 2019 Posted March 19, 2019 Kofi is hotter now than guys like Finn Balor have ever been yet there are plenty of people still advocating for a Finn run so I have no issue with Kofi as a champion.
Casey Posted March 19, 2019 Posted March 19, 2019 Haha, okay. What's next, Kofi is more over right now than Seth Rollins?
Niners Fan in CT Posted March 19, 2019 Posted March 19, 2019 No, I'm only speaking on facts. Kofi is more over than Owens too.

I was thinking it'd go the whole show too but they've announced Sasha & Bayley vs the Iiconics and Miz responding to Shane, so probably will go one hour like the last gauntlet.

Niners Fan in CT Posted March 20, 2019 Posted March 20, 2019 I'd have been more concerned for Kofi's future if he had beaten Bryan right there. At this point they'll probably drag out this story to the SDL go home or even WM itself like they did with Undertaker/Cena.
Raziel Posted March 20, 2019 Posted March 20, 2019 BTW, how did Rey's kid end up being twice his size?
Greggulator Posted March 20, 2019 Posted March 20, 2019 That was one of the best hours of professional wrestling I've ever watched. It just gets better every week. We all knew how the story was going to go with the first five men. But I still completely bought into everything the entire time. And I realized there was enough time left for something to happen. And despite how many hours I've watched wrestling, I still was shocked when Vince came out... and doubly so with Daniel Bryan (who somehow came off even more of a jerk than he did before). Standing ovation all around. 5
TheVileOne Posted March 20, 2019 Posted March 20, 2019 There's no defense for this. Garbage overbooking at its finest. 1 2

For Great Justice Posted March 20, 2019 Posted March 20, 2019 Ok I got a kick out of the swerve ending. If this were 1980 that would be “kill the town” stuff. I mean that crowd just went kerplunk. I was expecting WCW-ish trash and beer in the ring. But as a TV product I love the swerve and am looking forward to next week. Poor 205 live guys
Casey Posted March 20, 2019 Posted March 20, 2019 They've got two weeks to announce the WWE Championship match at WrestleMania. That's cutting it pretty close for the main title of one of your shows. I have no desire to see Kofi in a title match, but damn. Just like Becky/Ronda, they're making this more complicated than it needs to be.
